A blessed Eastertide to families and friends of All Saints!
YOUTH GROUP will have their final formal gathering for the 2021-2022 academic year. We will meet in Kemper Hall from 6:30-8:00pm.
*Please continue to mask and bring your own water bottle until parish leadership advises otherwise.
SUNDAY SCHOOL had their final formal gathering this past Sunday, April 24. Thank you to those families who were able to attend and who made our Zoom gatherings such a great experience!
YOUTH FELLOWSHIP: We are still offering 30 minutes of free time in Kemper Hall following the 10:30am service to kids present for worship. For those ages 3 and up, please continue to mask until parish leadership advises otherwise.
FAMILY FUN NIGHTS: We are looking to offer some informal Family Fun Nights for the parish in the months of May, July, and August (taking June off for Episcopal Diocesan Summer Camp). Stay tuned for more details!
CELEBRATION SUNDAY: We will be celebrating both Youth Ministry partners and high school and college graduates on Sunday, May 15 at the 10:30am service. If you and/or your student has graduated (or will graduate) within the 2021-2022 academic year, we'd love to include them! Please contact Erin Wolf for more information.
LET’S CELEBRATE! Please be sure to check out our very first edition of the “Let’s Celebrate” segment of the newsletter! This month’s collection features things that members of All Saints celebrated and/or are celebrating through the Lenten season and the start of the Easter season.
For those wishing to contribute moments they’d like to share, send your stories to Erin Wolf at asygappleton@gmail.com anytime. The deadline for May’s edition is Sunday, May 22.
SUMMER CAMP CAMPER REGISTRATION is OPEN!!! Head to diofdl.org/camp for more details & sign-up. Anyone needing scholarship assistance should contact either Fr. Christopher or Erin. Cost should not be a reason to miss camp!
SUMMER CAMP STAFF APPLICATIONS: For those interested in serving on Camp Staff, you must be at least a current high school freshman or older and complete a Volunteer Staff Application. Applications are now LIVE at diofdl.org/campstaff.

LET’S CELEBRATE! is a new addition to the All Saints newsletter. Each month, we want to highlight moments that members of the congregation are celebrating! Whatever you’re excited to share, we’d love to hear from you and celebrate in your joy! To be featured, send your stories to Erin Wolf at asygappleton@gmail.com. Here are some celebrations from the season of Lent and beginnings of Eastertide!
Hunter Erickson placed 5th at the Wisconsin State High School Forensics Competition in April. His category was Prose Interpretation. Hunter has also had several opportunities to serve as guest organist at many different churches in the Fox Valley, including recently at All Saints!
Aubrey Laswell’s volleyball team took gold in their division at the Badger Regional Tournament in March!
Jonah Wolf lost his two front teeth and has been happily showing anyone he can!
Susan Allen celebrates remote working technology! It was a privilege to be able to work (and worship) via Zoom from England through February and March while keeping her mother company as she recovered from a fall and subsequent surgery.
Azrianna & Blake Bomann welcomed Diana Gwendolyn into their family on March 3! Big sister Clara has been fascinated by her baby sister, and they have appreciated being able to worship via Zoom throughout the season of Lent.
The Youth Group was able to safely return to in-person gatherings as of Ash Wednesday! They have meet Wednesday evenings to pray, play, learn, and enjoy fellowship together. They were also able to bring back the Easter Egg Hunt for children in grades 4 and younger on Easter Sunday!
Sunday School has continued on Zoom for families this semester, and students have greatly enjoyed being able to share all sorts of things that would be otherwise challenging in-person. This has included varying creative projects (including a re-creation of a Nimbus 2000 broomstick from Patrick Bates), bringing stuffed animals and beloved dinosaurs, and even meeting Neptune, the Bates’ family’s chameleon!
Neptune Bates, honorary member of the All Saints Sunday School, celebrated his first birthday in April!
Emily Gilbert, among many others, celebrated the return of in-person singing during the 10:30am Sunday service! This has been among the most impactful parts of worship to have back at long last.
Fr. Christopher Wilkerson, also among many others, celebrated the return of the Common Cup during Communion! While it is still acceptable to receive Communion in one kind with bread only, it has been deeply powerful to be finally be able to again offer both parts of the Sacrament during Holy Eucharist.

April Vestry Highlights
- The vestry met a week later than usual due to Holy Week and Easter Week.
- After we approved the March minutes, Fr. Christopher led us in a fruitful reflection on John 15:1-11, then in further visioning for our next priorities for All Saints. Look for announcements of more opportunities for parish engagement and welcome, whether outdoors, in person, or virtual.
- Fr. Christopher announced the hiring of Seraphina Stowe as assistant custodian, also his plan to add a morning weekday Eucharist.
- Ken is soliciting bids for painting of the bell tower woodwork. He's happy with the responsiveness of Energy Control and Design in our continuous issues with the heating system.
- We approved a forms-only annual Diocesan review of our finances.
- Next vestry meeting: May 17th.

We need more ushers for both the 8:30 and 10:30 Sunday services! The job involves greeting people as they come in; ringing the bell before the service begins; counting heads and writing down the number on an attendance card; and letting people out of their pews to go up to Communion. If you're interested, please contact the office.
|
|
Mark your calendars! The Parish Picnic will return on Sunday, June 5 (Pentecost) after the 10:30am service. Weather permitting, we'll gather on the north lawn to eat picnic food and enjoy each other's company. Please contact the office if you're interested in helping organize the event.
|
|
Forward Day by Day devotional booklets for May-June-July are available by the lift, at the back of the church, and in the office. If you aren't attending in person on Sundays, you're welcome to stop by and pick one up during Emily's office hours (9am-3pm Mon-Fri).
