New Product Reviews, Pics and Fit Check:
REV'IT! Chevron Gloves ...The white and red colors used contrast with the black for a really sharp look. This glove is lightweight and should be comfortable in mild and warmer weather because a good deal of the back of the hand is perforated leather. The gloves are lined inside with a slippery nylon material that will make them comfortable. I also like the externally sewn fingers because that type of construction means the seams along the length of the fingers are on the outside and therefore the raw ends of the leather aren't against your skin inside the gloves. For protection there is Temperfoam armor on the top of the wrist and along the outside edge of the pinkie, and also in the heel area of the hand. The knuckles are covered by a hard molded carbon fiber protector (which also adds to the sport look).... ( more) REV'IT! Outback Jacket .. . And for the touring riders and commuters, there are pockets, pockets pockets! I'm counting a total of 8 roomy exterior pockets. Wow! If you need more storage than this, you probably ought to trade in your bike for a minivan! But seriously, there should be room enough to store everything you need. The overall styling of this jacket is sharp and the quality of construction and materials really shows. The fabrics are crisp and well tailored. The Outback also has ample nighttime reflectives on the front, back and sides. We have night shots in our photo gallery that show just how well these work. But getting back to my original claim about why I like this jacket the best of the ones I've seen.... it is because of the value. For what this jacket offers, I really think it is one of the best values in their lineup. I also like the new "American" fit (as discussed on the product page). If this style is what you've been after, then give it a try. I think you'll be even more impressed with this jacket in person. The Viper Air feels just a touch lighter overall and it has a vest-type windproof liner so we can't call it "water resistant like the T-GP-R, but otherwise it is about identical (but $50 less, yay!). A portion of the jacket is made with solid textile material and then there are large panels on the front and back that are mesh. Since the jacket has these mesh panels, a lot of air will blow through onto your skin and keep you comfortable in hot weather. This jacket has a removable windproof vest-liner that will help block the flow thru air which will come in handy during cooler times..... ( more) FirstGear Rainman Jacket and Pants The Rainman jacket is a higher quality rain jacket constructed of nylon. Nylon feels more like fabric as opposed to the plastic/rubber feel of PVC (the material used in cheaper rain gear), so you'll enjoy wearing this jacket. The jacket is nicely styled and has a waistband adjustment to help keep the material under control in the wind. There is also an integral elastic cord (adjustable too) built into the bottom hem. The main zipper of this jacket is constructed with an extra flap to help prevent leakage. A hood is included-hidden under the collar. You wear this hood under your helmet and it will help keep the rain from getting in around your neck The neatest feature of this jacket is the integral storage pouch which allows you to store the jacket in a very small, convenient pouch in your luggage...
