Our monthly Southside Meal Program teams transitioned to preparing and packaging take-out meals for people visiting this St. Vincent de Paul Society meal site in Milwaukee.
About 40 parishioners contributed cooked brats, buns, potato salad, cookies and much more for the meals. St. Leonard parishioners have prepared and served a monthly meal at this site - usually stew, bananas, jello and other foods - since 1983. Meals are not served on-site at this time due to concerns about the coronavirus.
About 125 people were served this past Tuesday - 110 adults and 17 children.
