At Last, First Communions Begin!
HOMILY ON THE FARM: First Communion children help Father Dan act out the Gospel about what happens when seeds of faith are nurtured. Families are deciding when it is best for their child to make their First Communion - in the coming months or in the more distant future.
I DO!: First Communion children renewed their baptismal vows with the help of our new screens at two public Masses last weekend. There will be just one other public weekend Mass this summer with First Communions - Saturday, August 15.
Here is useful information if you are thinking about attending Mass July 18-19:

As of this afternoon, Thursday, July 16, reservations had been made for:
  • 5pm Mass, 37 people
  • 7am Mass, 37 people
  • 9:15am Mass, 42 people
  • 11:30am Mass, 6 people

  • Make Your Reservation Here or our reservation hotline at 262-392-8212 any time until your specific Mass begins. You can make a reservation at the door, but that may slow you down! We've suspended our color coded/seat capacity system for now - you can sit where ever you like as long as you remain 6 feet away from people outside your household.

  • Everyone age 4 and up must wear a face mask. Free sanitized cloth masks are available.

  • Paper bulletins are now available after Mass, in the marked box on a post at the end of the Parish Office driveway or see it online here.

  • Enter the church through the main Gathering Space doors.

  • If you need a low-gluten host, please see the the priest before Mass begins.

  • Wondering About Attendance At Our Public Weekday Mass? No reservation is needed for public weekday Masses at noon Tuesday and Wednesday in church, where attendance has been about 30 people.
Wednesday Is Our New Confessions Day
Confessions will be heard once a week 5:30-6:30pm on Wednesdays indefinitely.

Please note that the Gathering Space was built with a heavy-duty, insulated pull-out wall and door to make it possible to enclose it completely. Please wear a mask and wait in the Gathering Space.
Email Update for Father Dan, Bridget
email_icon.jpg
Father Dan and Bridget just got their email service restored this morning, Thursday, July 16! It stopped working overnight Saturday to Sunday.

If you have emailed either this week and do not hear back in the next day or two, please email them again or call the parish office, 262-679-1773, to reach them. Other staff emails were not affected.
Our Southside Meal Program Team Pivots To Take-Out Picnic Foods
Our monthly Southside Meal Program teams transitioned to preparing and packaging take-out meals for people visiting this St. Vincent de Paul Society meal site in Milwaukee.

About 40 parishioners contributed cooked brats, buns, potato salad, cookies and much more for the meals. St. Leonard parishioners have prepared and served a monthly meal at this site - usually stew, bananas, jello and other foods - since 1983. Meals are not served on-site at this time due to concerns about the coronavirus.

About 125 people were served this past Tuesday - 110 adults and 17 children.
Caring Adults Needed For School Extended Care
We're looking for caring adults who would like to facilitate our school Extended Care Program. The hours for this paid position are 2:15-5:30pm Monday-Friday when school is in session, starting August 25.

Please contact our school principal, Lisa Ellis, at  lisa.ellis@stleonards.org  if you are interested!

More Masks Would Be Appreciated At This Time!
Live-Stream Mass This Weekend
You're invited to worship with us this Sunday, July 19:

Can I watch St. Leonard's live-stream Mass on my TV? Maybe! If your TV is tied to the internet (through Roku or Amazon Fire Stick), you should be able to download the Facebook Watch app onto your TV to view Mass on the big screen. If you watch other internet channels such as YouTube on your TV, there is a way. Consult with the tech-savvy people in your life for assistance if needed.
