On April 19th, we showed our film to an almost full house at the Bethel Cinema as part of the FilmFest 52 Film Festival in Bethel, Connecticut.  Louis Pilato and Burk Wagner, who appear in the film came up from New Jersey to join John and Hugh on the Q & A afterwards.

The month of May has been a whirlwind so far...showing  our film at The University of Texas, winning a WorldFest Platinum Grand Remi Award in Houston, celebrating with the Society of Plastics Engineers an showing at  ANTEC   in Anaheim and the upcoming screening at the Smithsonian.

To learn more about our adventures in  Texas, please go to the NEWS Screenings tab on our website

To bring you up to speed on the latest news, on May 7th the short version of All Things Bakelite provided the entertainment for the Society of Plastics Engineers' 75th Anniversary Gala at the
Hilton in Anaheim , California.

After the screening, engineers, executives, former SPE president and several plastics engineering professors and students congratulated Hugh Karraker on his excellent film.

During the following three days, at the ANTEC conference in the Hilton, the longer version of the film was shown on a monitor in a private screening room. Bill Bregar of  Plastics News  interviewed Hugh for an article and a Ohio cable news program.

Hugh and the ATB Team are truly grateful to Willem Devos, Russell Broome and the SPE staff for including our film in both of these spectacular events.

Willem Devos' generosity continues with his assistance organizing screenings in Brussels in June and at the 200th anniversary celebration of the founding of  Ghent University in October.
