Celebrating 51 Years!

With the first days of September upon us, we look back on the hot summer days – and know that we made them SHINE!
Inside this issue, you will see how we participated in many community events – showing off our artwork and handmade goods We learned how to fish and sculpt with clay and made new friends as we shared experiences with seniors and veterans. Some of us enjoyed weeding and harvesting vegetables in our garden while others danced in the Ohana School of Performing Arts recital
Our Employment Services division continues to support our business partners – with VillageWorks offering dependable labor for seasonal and permanent jobs. We congratulated those who obtained their own job – and we learned many soft skills while volunteering throughout our communities.
The 29 th Annual Sunshine Village Golf Tournament was a GREAT success. With support from so many – including our Tournament Sponsors of Chicopee Savings Bank Charitable Foundation, PeoplesBank and Westfield Bank – we were able to raise money to help us deliver on the promise of a great day, every day! We have linked in a video of that day – we hope you watch it – and thank all the many businesses who helped to support us!
The upcoming months will be just as busy! Join us at our Mac and Cheese Challenge on October 13 th at The Blue Room Cafe and look for us at St. Catherine of Siena’s Craft Fair on November 3 rd !
AND thank you for your support of Sunshine Village – where everyone SHINES!

Have a great day!
