Sunday, DECEMBER 8, 3:00 pm ET - IN-PERSON: A SPECIAL FILM SHOWING OF "SHOAH AMBASSADORS", a FREE joint program with L'Dor Va-Dor and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship! We welcome all to this very special program to be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located at 2601 St Andrews Blvd, Boca Raton. We welcome you to invite and bring your friends, neighbors, family, students to this important and impressive film SHOAH AMBASSADORS. Two young adults interpret the stories of five Holocaust Survivors into their own art. We are honored to have Helen Daniel speaking to us following the film and answering questions. Helen is a Holocaust Survivor who is 99 years old and we are so grateful for her sharing this time with us. The film is being shown as a courtesy to us by inSIGHT Through Education, Inc. Tuesday, DECEMBER 10, 7:00 pm ET - VIRTUAL: TOUCH of TORAH with L'Dor Va-Dor on Zoom. We will share insights into the Torah Parsha for the upcoming Shabbat, VAYISHLACH ("and he sent"). We will present a couple of videos, including previously recorded videos of the late Rabbi Barry Silver sharing his take on this Torah portion. His insight, humor, and intellect is always timeless and relevant! We welcome ALL to join us for discussion and Torah study! We know it will be well worth your time! Friday, DECEMBER 13, 7:00 pm ET - IN-PERSON (and virtual): A MUSICAL CELEBRATION with L'Dor Va-Dor and CANTOR CAROL! We welcome one and all to our musical Shabbat, led for us by Cantor Carol Garrett! This evening we will honor all those celebrating their Birthdays and Anniversaries in the month of December with a special blessing from Cantor Carol. Our Shabbats are held in Delray Beach at 5859 Heritage Park Way. We welcome all to enjoy our Shabbat and hope that you will stay on following to meet and greet all and to enjoy some refreshments and nosh at our Oneg Shabbat. Saturday, DECEMBER 14, 7:00 pm ET - IN-PERSON: A MOVIE and INTERFAITH DISCUSSION with L'Dor Va-Dor at the Movies of Delray! Join your L'Dor Va-Dor friends for a funny and heart-warming local premier of the film, "BAD SHABBOS" at the Movies of Delray, 7421 W. Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach. The film stars Kyra Sedgwick as the matriarch of a Jewish family, as tensions come to a head during their Shabbat dinner. It debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and won their Audience Award! We are collecting items for the City of Boynton Beach, who will be making food baskets containing the fixings for a complete holiday dinner that they will donate to over 200 local and needy families in time for the December holidays. Our role is to donate the items to them (they will purchase the baskets and create the final gifts). All donations are taken to the City of Boynton Beach. Thank you so much for all who have donated so far - we and the City of Boynton Beach are very grateful!
Here is the list of requested donations - PLEASE be generous and give what you are able:

Cake mix and frosting or Brownie mix

Sunday, DECEMBER 29, 1:15 pm ET - IN-PERSON: L'DOR VA-DOR'S ANNUAL CHANUKAH HAPPENING! L'Dor Va-Dor welcomes members and friends to our exciting CHANUKAH HAPPENING at the Palm Beach County LANTANA Road Library, 4020 Lantana Road, Lake Worth (which is on the SW corner of Lantana Rd and Lawrence Rd). Our holiday party will be within their large community room, complimentary. There will be music, sing-alongs, dancing, gift baskets for sale, raffles, and, of course, delicious traditional Chanukah nosh (latkes and more)! We welcome one and all, but ask you to please RSVP by Dec.20, call or text to 561-968-0688 with your name, phone number, and number attending. Sunday, FEBRUARY 16, 2025, 1:00 pm ET - IN-PERSON: L'DOR VA-DOR'S GALA LUNCHEON Honoring the memory of RABBI BARRY SILVER! Rabbi Barry touched the lives of so many in our congregation and local community, we at L'Dor Va-Dor want to honor this very special person, as we near the first Yahrzeit of his passing. All are welcome to attend a beautiful event planned at the Delray Beach Golf Club, 2200 Highland Avenue, Delray Beach, with a full 3-course meal, including options for entree, salad, dessert, and beverage. We will have musical entertainment provided by the Pink Slip Duo, playing Jewish tunes, American songs, and some of Rabbi Barry's adapted music. It will be a wonderful gala event where all are welcome, members, friends, and guests! $54 pp Members, $64 pp Guests. The show starts at the entrance of E Atlantic Ave and NE 4th Ave in the heart of downtown. The show will proceed north on NE 4th Ave for two full blocks to NE 2nd St. The show also extends east and west over 4th Ave on NE 1st St. This central location is surrounded by great shops, fantastic restaurants, and an artistic community. This festival is a very high quality, well advertised and managed show, with great support from the local community.

THE NOVA MUSIC FESTIVAL EXHIBITION

The Nova Exhibition is an in-depth remembrance of the brutal massacre at The Nova Music Festival on October 7th. The installation sets out to recreate a festival dedicated to peace and love that was savagely cut short by a terrorist attack on that fateful day. The attack at The Nova Music Festival was the largest massacre in music history. This groundbreaking installation is presented as a way to empower visitors to responsibly explore & bear witness to the tragic events of October 7 and its aftermath.

To those on our Healing List and those that are not, but should be, we send out our thoughts and wishes for you to be stronger, to heal, to recover, and to attain a full recovery to good health, a Refuah Shlema, renewal of the body, renewal of the spirit!
