Back-to-School Bash Clothing Drive Now Underway
We are proud to coordinate this year’s Back-to-School Bash (BTSB) for the first time in collaboration with a strong network of community partners. The BTSB provides Lake County families in need with free school supplies, clothing, and a variety of supportive services to help students start the school year prepared and confident. As part of this effort, we will lead the clothing drive and operate the free clothing “store” for the second year in a row. The Salvation Army will continue its long-standing role of leading the school supply donation drive and distribution.
As part of our role in this effort, we are currently seeking donations of new socks and underwear, as well as new and gently used clothing and outerwear in all sizes for children ages 0–18. Clothing donations may be dropped off at our office, located at 9285 Progress Parkway in Mentor, Monday–Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you prefer to support this effort with a monetary gift so we can shop on your behalf, you can make an online donation here (click the Clothing Donations tab). Checks payable to United Way of Lake County may also be mailed to 9285 Progress Pkwy., Mentor, OH 44060, ATTN: BTSB.
Complete details on the BTSB, needed clothing and school supply donations, and volunteer opportunities can all be found here.

Workplace Campaign: Can We Count You In?
One of the most impactful ways to give back is by running a workplace campaign in support of our mission. We start each campaign with a zero balance and rely on the kindness of our local community to help us help others. All funds raised in Lake County stay in Lake County, helping our own friends and neighbors in need. Interested in running a campaign? Contact Stephanie Devers at sdevers@uwlc.org, call 440-639-1236, or fill out this form, and we'll get everything ready for you!
