Faith Formation at CUMC

Whirl Kids

meet this Sunday!

Whirl Kids (4th grade and younger) Children leave the 10:00 am worship service after the scripture reading and are led down the hallway to Classroom 6. Parents and other adults from our congregation lead the group in singing, Bible reading, a fun video, and crafts and activities related to the day’s scripture reading. Parents/caregivers pick their children up at the conclusion of the worship service.

Whirlkids meet the second and fourth sunday of each month.

Middle &

High School

(grades 5 - 12) meet at 11:15 am in the Wesley Room. Led by Matthew Beland and Pastor Sharon Yarger, this group gathers to explore the day’s scripture reading and current events topics, through conversation and activities designed for growing in community, and growing together in our faith.

Middle and high school grades meet every Sunday.

Adult Discussion Group

The Fruit of the Spirit this week is Patience. It’s hard to be patient, to wait, and to sit still. Our society emphasizes quickness: from how quickly you can prepare dinner to how quickly those wrinkles can disappear from your face! What do you do to be more patient? One of the writers of our Lenten booklet says that “patience invites us to pay full attention to the present moment….rather than looking ahead to what is next.”

Come join our discussion at 11:15 in the Asbury Room after worship on Sunday.
