Prayers from September 14th

  • With thanks from my heart to all those who prayed for my health concern. I'm happy to say my biopsy came out benign! I'm so very grateful to God and my wonderful church family - Fran.
  • Of concern for Vera who struggles with ALS - Steve D.
  • Bless us with vision to see good community where we work, live and travel. Use us to encourage, build and see your presence in the midst of good community.
  • Bless us as we always extend the table, set up more chairs and delight in those you O God bring to this community of faith.
  • We give thanks for generous givers in our church. Bless the gifts we bring, and the givers as well.
  • For Charlie Kirk - Louis T.
  • In light of the violence, vitriol and fear in our world we pray, for our nation, for a total transformation, a metanoia, in heart, mind and spirit.

This Sunday's 10:00 am service will feature Chatham UMC Choral Scholars performing God of the Movements and Martyrs by David LaMotte.

Our Chatham UMC Choral Scholars (L to R): Diego Cabo, TD Brody, Lauren Byrne, and Mia Lombardo.

Adult Discussion

This Sunday the Adult Discussion Group resumes its weekly sessions of reading and discussing the gospel lesson for the week. In Luke 16 Jesus tells a parable of the Shrewd Manager. We’ll try to unravel the meaning behind this clever story and apply a lesson to our daily living. After getting a cup of coffee or tea after worship, come join us in the Asbury Room, adjacent to the sanctuary.

If you have any questions, or suggestions, please contact Ron Yarger at ryarger01@gmail.com
