Easter Never Ends
The Octave of Easter Sunday (this coming Sunday) is sometimes called “Low Sunday.” After all the glory and jubilation of Easter Day, things just do not seem quite as “high.” And, frankly, we probably will not have the same attendance, though I continue to prayerfully hope!
Certainly, the Gospel for this day is a high point and I think we should call the day Thomas Sunday because we hear doubting Thomas become believing Thomas with his confession: “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28). Every Sunday is an opportunity to celebrate that Christ has died and Christ is risen. Every Sunday is an opportunity to hearken to the Word and come to believe “that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).
We still have several weeks left to the 2022 Easter Season and, in truth, Easter never ends. Christ is risen and lives forevermore. Let our high Alleluias continue, for Jesus Christ is Lord.

Rummage Sale Storage Space Needed...
Does anyone have space in their garage for some rummage sale items to store until July, when we will have our annual St. Francis Rummage sale? This is a great money maker for St. Francis, but without additional storage we are unable to accept donations from those who are moving or are in need of downsizing. We are talking about small tables or chairs or boxed items, not a pile of junk. If you can help out for a couple of months please call Gloria 310-375-8916.
