Behind the Scenes for ECQG Members

Please join us at the

October meetings!

In addition to the Matriotism challenge reveal, the 2026 Raffle Quilt Reveal happens at the October meetings! Many thanks to Andrea Barrett for assembling a talented, hard-working Quilt Production Committee. These folks collaborated before the design was chosen, through planning and distribution of block kits, assembly and long arming while keeping all of their work confidential!

Raffle Quilt Ticket Sales begin at the meetings. Other than the sale of admission tickets, the Raffle Quilt is the most successful fundraiser we hold, beginning with the reveal. The winning ticket will be drawn just before closing on the last day of the show.

FAQs - Raffle Quilt Tickets

Do all guild members have to buy tickets? We strongly encourage members to buy a packet of 24 tickets for $20 to help offset the expense of producing the quilt. You’ll keep the

money for any of those tickets you resell to friends and family. You may sell tickets individually for $1 or in a pack of 6 tickets for $5.

How may I buy tickets?  Raffle Quilt tickets are sold in person at all guild meetings between now and the May 2026 meeting. Tickets are also sold online through the quilt show website, after the October meetings.

Do I have to pay a transaction fee if I buy my tickets online?

No, this is optional. To change the contribution amount, click on the drop-down box and select OTHER, and set amount as desired (ZERO is an option).  Watch this short 2-minute video from our last quilt show on purchasing Raffle Quilt Tickets and how the contribution to Zeffy works: Purchase Raffle Tickets tutorial video.

Pop-Up Shop at both October meetings

Come early to Shop!

Stitched, our Diamond quilt show sponsor, presents a Pop-up Shop at both meetings.

Owner Clare Schueren plans to bring a fun collection of fabric and giftware for sale; credit cards are welcome.

The Stitched Pop-up Shop opens:

6 pm on Thursday, October 30th

9 am on Friday, October 31st

Diamond level quilt show sponsors can bring a Pop-Up Shop to our meetings.

Quilt Entry and Judging

Plan your Quilt Show entry

Thanks to the Judging/Jurying and Quilt Entry Committees, the Quilt Entry Categories and the Quilt Entry Rules have been posted on the show website. Our Call for Quilts opens on January 1 and closes at the March meetings. Online applications will close at midnight on March 27. Quilts completed in 2024-2026 are eligible for entry.

This is your show! Quilters of all skill levels are encouraged to enter.

Postcard How-to Information

If you're curious about making quilted postcards or just need a refresher, here's a Postcard Tutorial. Holly Lightfoot-Sheehan will be announcing new Postcard Playdates early next year. In the meantime, use the tutorial to create in your quilt studio, share it with your bee group, or other quilting friends who would like to make postcards for our show! Here is the postcard how-to information sheet.

Oops!  We are missing a bag of postcard embellishments – mostly Christmas-themed – that disappeared from the postcard table during the August meeting. If you picked them up thinking they came from the nearby free table, no worries – Please return them to any of the quilt show tables at the next meeting or just add them to the postcards you are making for the show!
