Quilt Entry - Only 17 days left to enter!

Quilt Entry closes at 11:59 PM on March 27. Each guild member is allowed to enter up to six quilts, but there is no guarantee that all your quilts will be accepted into the show, even though we usually have space for over 300 quilts. You may review the rules, judging categories, and Enter Quilts from the following links.

Online Entry Form: This is the preferred method!
Mail-in form: Postmark date 3/17 – Mail early to be sure!
Paper copies with printed color photos may be delivered to Carolyn Powers at the March Guild meetings on March 26/27.

Remember to take two pictures of each quilt! One photo should be of the whole quilt, and the other should be a close-up of a detail. This website has good ideas to help you take the best pictures and increase your chances of being in the show: Click here for quilt photo tips.

JUDGING INFORMATION:

To some quilters, especially new quilters, the thought of entering a quilt into a judged show is too daunting. Submitting a quilt isn't just about getting a ribbon; you have poured a lot of time and energy into creating a quilt. By entering it into the show, your quilt encourages and inspires other quilters and future quilters. And you get to see your work beautifully displayed in the show!

Video, Quilter on Fire interview with Scott Murkin, a thoughtful and talented certified quilt judge. Scott was a judge for two of our shows and lectured at guild meetings a few years ago.

If you have convinced a family member to help us during setup or take-down, please get in touch with Steve and Linda at quiltshow@ecqg.com , and we'll forward their names to Mary Duncan, our show volunteer coordinator.

While at the table, pick up more raffle tickets to sell to your friends, family, and neighbors! Buy Raffle Tickets online here, and we'll fill them out with the buyer's name for you!

Our Postcard Stash is Growing!

Thanks to those who have already brought in postcards! We currently have around 700 postcards, but we need 1000 or more to fill our postcard booth at the show because they go fast!

Last Postcard Playdate – Sunday, April 26 @ Tiny Stitches 1 – 4 pm

Whether you're new to the guild, new at making postcards, or you have made many postcards over the years, there's plenty of space to sew in a quilter-friendly environment. And there's fabric upstairs!

Alice is Ready!

Alice was revealed at the February meeting!

She will be a beautiful addition to any sewing room. Antique machines have plenty of life in them, despite the years!

Here are Alice's official specifications: A fully restored 1936 Singer 99 sewing machine with the original bentwood case, vintage foot pedal, and new carrying strap. Custom-painted to coordinate with the colors of the 2026 Raffle Quilt, the Singer 99 is a portable, three-quarter-sized machine with a low-shank presser foot and a class 66 bobbin. Also included is a complimentary sewing machine service for this or any other mechanical sewing machine, redeemable at a later date.

Alice will be featured as part of the Sewing Studio Raffle at the Quilt Show.
