Workshop Drawing Winner

Congratulations to Denise Russell

Thanks to all the guild members who entered the drawing for the free workshop. 256 members bought a $20 packet of tickets to qualify for the

drawing worth $55. Please continue selling raffle tickets and sharing our social media posts about the raffle quilt and the quilt show – it adds to our quilt show income!

Keep working on those show quilts!

Quilt Entry is open through March 27. Each guild member is allowed to enter up to six quilts, but there is no guarantee that all of your quilts will be accepted into the show, even though we usually have space for over 300 quilts. Use the online Entry Form to enter.

Click on the following subjects for more Quilt Entry information:

Quilt Entry - Deadlines

Quilt Photo Tips

Quilt photos need good lighting to give the jury the best opportunity to appreciate your hard work. This website has good ideas to help you take the best pictures and increase your chances of being in the show.

We Need Lots More Postcards

Thanks to those who have already brought in postcards! We currently have around 500, but we need 1,000 or more to fill our postcard booth at the show, since they sell out fast!

We have two more Postcard Playdates:

Saturday, March 7 @ Stitched 10 am - 2 pm

Sunday, April 26 @ Tiny Stitches 1 pm – 4 pm

Postcards Chair Holly Lightfoot has inventoried the postcards we have collected so far. We already have plenty of postcards for children.

Here are some ideas for postcard themes that sell well, and others that we really need.

*Autumn

*Winter

*Halloween

*Flowers

Steve discovered postcard making this week, and he’s made some real beauties!

Meet Alice

Pam Cobb of Revive Sewing LLC has begun the process of reclaiming a vintage Singer sewing machine to be raffled off at Georgia Celebrates Quilts. Named after the first president of East Cobb Quilters’ Guild, Alice will be cleaned, restored, and updated with a beautiful new paint job that matches our 2026 raffle quilt, Terrazzo!

Pam invites us to follow her as she works, describing Alice’s current health and her plans to bring her to mint condition. So far, there are three Instagram posts about the process. As Alice improves, Pam will post more installments, and we will link them in future QS Insiders.

of Alice's restoration

Meet Alice, the 1936 Singer 99, who's being restored and repainted.

Alice is out of the electrolysis tank and stripped of her old finish.

While Alice is at the paint booth, restoration started on her bentwood case.

We appreciate your time!
