In February 2019, the SJPS Foundation awarded a $76,000 grant to the district to help fund Partnership for Unlimited Learning: Phase III: Elementary 1:1.

The 2019 grant was an expansion of the Foundation's longtime support of one device for every student, which started with 6th graders receiving laptops almost 10 years ago.

Original plans called for keeping the elementary student devices at school. Due to the current COVID situation, students found out this week they will be taking devices home nightly so that all have the same opportunity for extended learning, as well as being equipped with the necessary tools to navigate a quarantine situation or remote learning.
