On February 9th, members of Eden House staff and Board of Directors were honored to attend a luncheon hosted by Governor John Bel Edwards and First Lady Donna Edwards at The Governor's Mansion. The event brought attention to the essential work of the newly created National Coalition for the Prevention of Human Trafficking, which is launching an awareness campaign, Stop Trafficking Louisiana: Human Trafficking is R.E.A.L. on April 3rd.
At the luncheon, organizations such as Eden House were commended for the vital service we provide to victims, and for our important role in the prevention and mitigation process. We are humbled by the recognition of the Office of Human Trafficking Prevention, and we look forward to working together for a safer and brighter future in our state!
