A Message from our Executive Director | | | | |
Dear Friends,
What a month it has been!
June was a whirlwind of meaningful activity here at the Foundation. From the incredible success of our Ride the River event to the heartwarming Wave of Gratitude presentations, it’s been a true celebration of community spirit and healthcare excellence. We also proudly hosted another MEDtalks session, connected with staff and supporters at the Wellness Fair, gathered for our Annual General Meeting, and experienced the impactful Code Pink Simulation Lab at Brockville General.
Each of these moments reflects what’s possible when compassionate healthcare professionals and a generous, engaged community come together. We are so grateful to be in a position to help bridge the care provided inside the hospital with the support of the people outside it.
Thank you for your participation, your encouragement, and your continued support for Brockville General. We wish you a joyful and relaxing summer.
Warm regards,
Trish Buote
Executive Director,
Brockville & District Hospital Foundation

HBT MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Celebrating the life of Trevor LeSueur
| | |
On June 7, 2025, the friends and family of Trevor LeSueur came together for the first annual HBT Golf Tournament—a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the kind of love only someone like Trevor could inspire.
Hosted at the Brockville Country Club, the event brought out 22 teams and 88 golfers, supported by 12 dedicated volunteers who helped bring every detail to life. From 50/50 draws to on-course games, prize tables, and photography, the day raised over $9,000 for the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation, continuing Trevor’s legacy of compassion and community spirit.
A heartfelt toast from Trevor’s dad, Dave LeSueur, and moving words from his best friend, Cole Jackson, reminded everyone of the deep love, friendship, and memories that Trevor left behind.
Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, over $3,000 in prizes were awarded, and more than 100 guests gathered for a delicious catered dinner. Despite a forecast of rain, the skies cleared—almost like Trevor was watching over us—making for a beautiful day in his honour.
Tournament Highlights:
🏆 Winning Team: Rhys Larry, Clark Seymour, Graeme Eastwood, Evan Eastwood
💪 Longest Drive: Jesse Robertson
🎯 Closest to the Pin: Ian Sabourin
