The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation proudly hosted its first-ever Palliative Care Telethon on MOVE 104.9 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 22. This event, a reimagined version of the beloved 30-Hour Telethon for Palliative Care Services, continued the legacy of generosity and community spirit, successfully raising $160,450 to support Palliative Care Services in our community. The heart and mission of the original telethon, which has always symbolized hope and connection, remained at the core of this new initiative.

The original telethon, which concluded in February 2023, raised over $5 million for Brockville General Hospital’s Palliative Care Outreach Services. This new event builds on that momentum, ensuring that the hospital’s Palliative Care program remains strong and continues to serve those in need.

The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the community for its unwavering support and generosity. Special thanks to the local businesses that contributed to the success of the Palliative Care Telethon with our Star Campaign and Fishbowl Program, including: Giant Tiger in Prescott & Brockville, O’Reilly’s Independent Grocer, Bobby’s Restaurant in Prescott, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Metro, Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Pharmasave.

The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation along with Brockville General Hospital, is proud to announce the first recipients of the prestigious Wave of Gratitude Awards. The inaugural honorees, Nicole Gibson, Dr. Michael Fuoco, the Brockville General Cardiovascular Department, and the Brockville General Palliative Care Team, have had donations made in their honour for their exceptional dedication to patient care and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our community.
