ASTROLOGY FORECAST (Dec 16 - 22)
Dwarf planet CERES, the largest object in the Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter moves into Libra on 12/18 until 3/22/23. Ceres is attuned to motherhood and protection. Who, or what, will you fiercely defend? Ceres is also connected to nature and abundance. In Libra this can appear as subtle beauty. She is also adept at being of service in quiet, but significant ways. Ceres in Libra can help you find a fair, balanced sweet spot in all things as a focal point.
The SUN moves into Capricorn on 12/21. Capricorn has been associated with structure, hard work, discipline, responsibility, etc. It still is akin to these things. I will suggest now that you think of this time as a calm interval. Considering the absolute turbulence in the outer world, whether you feel it is good or difficult, Capricorn qualities can be a Godsend for a while. We can all use the energy to stabilize our choices. It may be a lovely pause in all the chaos. Wisdom will suggest that this stability will be a much better experience if you have been making the effort to improve your circumstances. In any case, the ebb and flow of energies throughout the Zodiac attempts to provide intervals of variation in the dance. Earth element Capricorn tends to provide the calming, stabilizing influence, if you have done your homework, through an incredibly powerful grounding effect. Along side that, Capricorn is one of the Cardinal signs that fall at the change of the seasons. This quality enhances leadership. That helps you to become the captain of your own ship by providing an underlying foundation while you reach for your dreams. The Sun in Capricorn draws this forth.
JUPITER moves into Aries on 12/21. The great benefic planet now starts its next trip around the Zodiac. Aries provides great drive and enthusiasm with its youthful, fiery energy.
You have undoubtedly been making changes, and considering more. Jupiter in Aries gives you great impedice to usher them into fruition. Use the sunny, fiery drive toward new growth to your advantage. In general Jupiter stays in a sign for approximately a year, but in this case, Jupiter will be in Aries until mid- May when it moves on into Taurus.There was an interval when Jupiter was in Aries earlier in 2022, so this is a return trip into enthusiastic Aries that can fire up your creativity once again.
The prominence of VENUS and MARS in our night sky feels as though it is a beacon, calling for our attention. A comparison of the two forces, and how they may be balancing out between us and within us, is significant now and in the months to come. This is not a point that will be made in most Astrological analytics. It is a point I feel guided to make based on the visible night sky and how I think it may affect us.
Venus rises higher in the west each night, our Evening Star again for several months. It will be the largest, brightest object in our night sky besides the Moon throughout these Winter months. At the same time Mars is currently in opposition, appearing larger and brighter than usual for a while in the east after Sunset.
The two heavenly bodies, that are also personal planets, will be rising higher in the sky, dancing toward each other throughout the Winter months.
These are two seemingly opposing forces in the duality, both within us and outside of us. The hope is to find a divine balance. If you wish to receive grace, the still point where these two necessary components of our psyche can live in peace, I once again encourage you to get outside. Look up at our companions and meditate, ask for assistance and "listen" for guidance.
Let us include some of the qualities of the Cardinal directions, with Venus in the west and Mars in the east.
Venus in the west at this time is of the water element. Features are; Shapeshifting, vision quests, journeys, emotions and higher compassion, goals, inner spiritual renewal.
Mars in the east is of the air element. Features are; Vision and prophecy, illumination, divination, initiation, new learning, and perhaps most important of all - strength of will.
Allow these qualities to draw together, beckoning toward a solution to duality that can usher us into a new age. May these visible night partners help you find PEACE.
ASTROLOGY FORECAST (Dec 23 - 31)
The next SUPER NEW MOON is on the 23rd in Capricorn. This is the 2nd of 5 super New Moons in a row. Perhaps you will remember that the Moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit and will have increased strength for new beginnings. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
There is also a Super Stellium of 7 heavenly bodies in CAPRICORN on this day. Just imagine the blessings that will grace the solstice season and holidays of all traditions. This is quite a benediction! The players in Capricorn are:
SUN -1°
MOON - 1°
HYGEIA - 1° - (Orbiting in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Can assist well being, food for the soul.)
PHOLUS - 6° (This is a Centaur asteroid in orbit between Saturn and Neptune. It can be a guide to healing the separation from your divine self.)
VENUS - 16° (grace, beauty)
MERCURY - 21° (communications, mental acuity)
PLUTO - 27°( soon to be utterly transformative)
The stellium contains many personal planets, making for an individual magic designed especially for you, if you accept the invitation beginning at the last quarter before Pluto leaves Capricorn.
Also on the 23rd, Chiron turns direct in Aries, after a 5 month retrograde interval. This is the best known Centaur asteroid orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, known as the Wounded Healer.
While in Aries, Chiron has been especially strong and dynamic. Deep wounds, be they ancestral, childhood, or of unknown origin, have been pushed to the surface of our awareness. You see, this is the time we've all been waiting for, when we can heal ourselves and each other once and for all - if we so choose. The chaos and turmoil has been brought to the forefront for just this purpose. There can be another way, something better. NOT ALL WILL CHOOSE HEALING AND LOVE, BUT YOU CAN!
There is another bit of magic attached to this in the form of numerology.
The NORTH NODE of the Moon in Taurus is semi-sextile Chiron. Both are at 11° of their sign on the 23rd. That adds the energy of a master number to the mix. Eleven (11) exhibits tremendous power, both mentally and physically. It increases intuition and native intelligence.
The North Node, or Head of the Dragon, is your true North. It is about your natural talents and your first, best destiny. You are surely intending to travel there whole and unwounded! This is that time. Let this combination help you.
This powerful, magical day, the 23rd, is also a Friday. In addition to all of the information explained above, there is also the grace and beauty of VENUS, who overlights Fridays.
One more activity this month begs our attention. MERCURY turns retrograde from 12/29 - 1/18/23 in Capricorn. This is the first of 4 retrograde sequences in 2023.
This is one of the troublesome planetary movements in most people's minds. You usually want to keep an eye on details and scheduling. Snags have been known to arise.
I am introducing another thought to Mercury retrogrades. They can teach us about, and help us overcome, ANNOYANCE. We all have triggers, things that trip up our peace, and get under our skin. Wouldn't we all like to become immune to most of those influences?
Perhaps the frequency of Mercury retrogrades can be of great assistance in this endeavor. There are always 3-4 each year. Mercury is a mental sign. We can use the time to change our minds about many things, and be inspired to transformation. When triggered we might decide that we don't really have to have an opinion about everything. We don't have to let our peace be challenged. Will we care about whatever is bugging us later? Must we care now? ANNOYANCE can be a tough nut to crack. MERCURY might just be a great ally in this area. Experiment with it during this retrograde to see if there is any help there for you.
