SENIOR PASTOR'S MESSAGE
Greetings Friends,
Sometimes a story helps us see something we’ve been missing, even something about ourselves. This Sunday, we’ll hear how the prophet Nathan used a story to help David face a difficult truth, and consider what might help us become more open to seeing ourselves honestly.
Join us for worship as we reflect on the possibility of change and the grace that makes room for us to grow.
Grace & Peace,
Patrick

Church School This Sunday | |
For Church School this Sunday, we finally have some nice weather forecasted, so we'll have our long-awaited flower planting at the Peace Pole.
Children will help to beautify the grounds ahead of the first frost, so there are flowers that bloom in the spring - resurrection at work!

Trunk or Treat is TOMORROW! There's still a few more hours to sign up for a decorated car (deadline 5 pm Friday).
Click on THIS LINK to register your car. Decorate to the hilt and have lots of candy. Last year we estimated over 300 kids came through (some more than once) and any leftover candy can be passed out at your house the next week! We had 20 cars last year - let's aim for 30 this year!!
| 10th Anniversary Picture Gallery | |
A new photo gallery is now on the church website to commemorate Patrick's 10th Anniversary. There is a wide range of types of photos, all showing how lucky we are to have him as our Senior Pastor.
CLICK HERE to view the gallery.
Enjoy!

Moral Mondays take place every Monday at 12:30 at the Stamford courthouse and offer a visible, interfaith space for prayerful presence and public moral witness when justice and human dignity feel under threat. In our local community, we gather for faithful witness to Immigrant Justice in our neighborhoods and nation.
For ongoing updates and coordination, colleagues and community members are also welcome to join our Moral Mondays Facebook group HERE

HAPPENINGS IN OUR FIRST CHURCH BUILDING

STICK YOGA: Saturday mornings, from 10.30 - 11.30 am
FREE TRIAL CLASS for members of First Church and after that $20 per class.
Bamboo stick yoga is a captivating fun way to explore stretching, balancing, conscious breathing and coordination, using a long light (bamboo) stick. It improves spatial awareness, posture, mobility and a mind-body connection, releasing stress. Supporting flexibility, stability and ease in our bodies, appropriate for any age. Some movements come from a Qigong method.
Please bring a yoga mat, and a yoga stick. You can purchase one online (e.g. the Karma Heart Yoga Stick), or make one, or use a broomstick. The stick should be approximately as tall as you. It could also be helpful to have a blanket if you like support for your head or knees. Email teacher Herma Janssen for more information: herma26janssen@outlook.com

Bring your little ones to church -
we completely EMBRACE them.
At First Church, we believe the way we welcome children in worship directly affects the way they respond to God, to the church, and to one another.
To welcome children as they are in worship, we have our PrayGround, located in the Chapel (front right side of the Meetinghouse), where children and others of all ages can engage in worship through movement, sensory materials, and prayerful play.
The presence of all God’s children is a gift to the church, which offers hope for all. Scan the QR code to access PrayGround FAQs and Helpful Tips.
