Dear Lakeside Family,
Lakeside has been my church for almost 39 years. My family started going there before I was born. I was baptized there. 3 of my sisters got married there. My dad's parents and his brothers all had services there.
I was a member of Handbells, UWF, Bible studies, and Youth group. Thanks to everyone who gave me rides to those things. If I forgot anything, I am sorry.
Thanks for being there for me when I have had kidney stones and diverticulitis. Thanks for helping me get through 3 deaths.
Thanks for helping my family celebrate my parents' 40th Wedding Anniversary.
I will sure miss all of you so much!

Mission Needs
Items needed for ongoing ministries
Broadmoor Elementary: Cans of Ravioli etc. and Boxed Mac & Cheese.
In order to provide enough food for Broadmoor,
20 cans and boxes are needed weekly.
Neighbor to Neighbor: Tuna and other non-perishables like beans and rice.
Blessing Box: non-perishable items
Trinity Village: Personal hygiene items
Opportunity House: Personal hygiene items, socks, towels.
Items may be placed in the baskets by the elevator
or brought to the office.

Miracle Sunday Offering
Friends in Christ, I write in anticipation of the upcoming offering we will lift up on May 17 for United Methodist theological education outside the US. I spent last week with the Council of Bishops, where I am blessed to serve alongside bishops representing our church across the world. My table-mate was the first woman bishop in the Philippines, two of my covenant group fellows were from East Congo, and a new friend serves the Nordic-Baltic-Ukraine Episcopal Area.
These colleagues shared stories of ministry in their contexts, often under great duress and suffering. They shared about the sacrifices of their clergy, only 5% of whom hold a master’s degree in theology, making clear the need for solid theological education. Our connection is built upon a Wesleyan foundation that unites the head and heart, and we need leaders in all our places who have read, studied, and been shaped by our tradition.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Your giving will build a bridge of love and faithfulness throughout our United Methodist connection.

Meals Needed for P.T. Interns
Lakeside United Methodist Church is hosting Project Transformation Training Week (May 29–June 5), welcoming 17 young adults as they prepare for a summer of ministry with children in our community.
You can support them by helping provide meals during the week. All meals are served at Lakeside:
- May 29 & 30 – Lunch (12 PM) and Dinner (6 PM)
- June 1–4 – Lunch (12 PM) and Dinner (6 PM)
- June 5 – Lunch only (12 PM)
Providing a meal is a simple but meaningful way to encourage these young leaders as they begin their summer. Meals can be homemade, coordinated with a group, catered, or sponsored.

| | Mid-Week Manna and Project Transformation | | | |
Mid-Week Manna has concluded for this school year. We can't give enough thanks for those who have given their time, patience, love, and gifts to this program.
We had 27 children receive tutoring, music, and Bible/Disciple time. 22 volunteers formed relationships with the children and made lasting impressions.
Now, it's time to reset for Project Transformation, where on June 9th, 70 children, including 20 middle schoolers, will attend summer camp.
