A Message From The Owner

State Insurance USA Family,

As we look back on this past season and ahead to all that’s to come, I want to take a moment to say thank you to our amazing customers, our dedicated team, and our Southwest Florida community.

At State Insurance USA, we exist for one purpose: to love and value all people, build trusted relationships, and deliver an elite insurance experience. Every call is about serving you and protecting what matters most — your family, your home, and your peace of mind.

As hurricane season comes to a close, I’m reminded of how resilient and strong our community truly is. Each year brings its share of storms, not just the ones that hit our coastlines but the ones that test our patience, faith, and perseverance. Through it all, we continue to stand together as neighbors and friends — rebuilding stronger and moving forward in unity.

As my family and I enter this holiday season, we’re especially grateful for God’s protection, the people we get to serve, and the incredible team that lives out our mission each day. It’s truly an honor to serve you, to protect your families, your homes, and your dreams. We’re thankful for your trust, your kindness, and the opportunity to walk alongside you through life’s moments, both calm and challenging.

To our loyal customers, thank you for trusting us.

To our incredible team, thank you for serving with heart and excellence.

To our community partners, thank you for helping us make a difference.

From our family to yours, may this holiday season be filled with peace, gratitude, and joy.

Take time to cherish every moment and love the ones who mean the most.

Wishing you a joyful and blessed holiday season,

Blake Chapman, CEO

State Insurance Cares

So far we've given back $52,143 this year!

Thank you for helping us make an impact!

Since launching State Insurance Cares, we’ve been honored to support two different local nonprofits each month — organizations that are doing powerful work right here in Southwest Florida and beyond.

Between April 1st and October 1st, we've proudly contributed to:

Cape Coral Police FOP Lodge 33, SFCA, Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Bonita Senior Center, United For A Cause, Friends of Lovers Key, Rise & Restore, United Way, Cape Coral Police Athletic League, Topaz Assistance Dogs, BEAR Home Foundation, The Avoda Project, Samaritan’s Purse, Gladiolus Food Pantry, Dr. Piper Center, Rebel Riders Charity, Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club, Fort Myers Christian School, Lead With Love Foundation, Freedom Institute, Help A Diabetic Child, 4 Kids SWFL, Women's Legacy Fund and the Guadalupe Center

Each organization has a unique mission, but they all share a commitment to making lives better— and we’re grateful to be walking alongside them.

If there’s a nonprofit that means something to you personally, we’d love to hear about it! Your recommendation could inspire one of our future donations!

Protecting Your Florida Home:

Why Hurricane Screen Enclosure Coverage Matters

Living in Florida comes with many perks like sunshine, warm weather year-round, and the luxury of outdoor living spaces like pools, lanais, and patios. Many homeowners enhance these spaces with screen enclosures, which provide shade, privacy, and protection from insects. While these structures may seem secondary compared to your home itself, they represent a significant investment— and one that can be vulnerable during hurricane season.

Unfortunately, many Floridians don’t realize that screen enclosures are not always automatically covered under a standard homeowners insurance policy. In fact, most policies either exclude them outright or place strict limitations on what will be paid for damage. This is where hurricane screen enclosure endorsement becomes essential.

What is Hurricane Screen Enclosure Coverage?

Hurricane Screen Enclosure coverage is an endorsement, or add-on, to your homeowners insurance policy. It specifically protects screened-in lanais, pool cages, and similar structures against windstorm hurricane damage. Without this endorsement, if your screen enclosure is torn apart by strong winds, flying debris, or toppled trees during a storm, your insurance company may deny the claim.

Why It’s Important in Florida

Florida is no stranger to hurricanes and tropical storms. High winds are often the biggest culprit of screen enclosure damage, ripping through panels and bending aluminum frames beyond repair. Because of how common these losses are, insurers treat them differently than standard dwelling coverage. That means unless you purchase the specific endorsement ahead of time, you may be left paying out of pocket for repairs or replacement. Timing is Everything. One critical detail homeowners must understand is that you cannot add or increase Hurricane Screen Enclosure coverage mid-term. This coverage must be added either at the inception of your policy or during your renewal period. Additionally, once a storm has been named and is approaching your area, no changes can be made to your policy until after the event has passed. This makes preparation absolutely essential. Waiting until a hurricane is on the radar will be too late.

The Bottom Line

Screen enclosures enhance the Florida lifestyle, but they also carry significant risks during hurricane season. Having Hurricane Screen Enclosure coverage in place ensures peace of mind, financial protection, and a smoother recovery after a storm. If you’re unsure whether your screen enclosure is currently covered, review your homeowners insurance policy today with our Customer Care team. A quick conversation today could save you thousands of dollars tomorrow!

Remarketing Team: Call Us First!

When your home or auto policy is being non-renewed—or you’ve had a significant rate increase—our Remarketing Team is ready to step in. Led by Cindy Cantu and supported by Tonya Roebuck, Jeremy Drake, Vicki Sparks, and Chelsey Frost, this group brings decades of combined insurance experience to the table. They know the carriers, the coverages, and the options—and they know how to find the best fit for your needs.

Sometimes the solution is simple—like noting that you’ve replaced your roof, updated your water heater, or sending in photos of repairs to lift a non-renewal. Other times, it’s a complete rewrite with a different carrier. On average, this team saves our clients $9,000–$10,000 every single week. And sometimes, their research leads to the recommendation that you stay exactly where you are—because that’s what’s best for you.

Here’s the most important thing—call us first. We write for almost every carrier in the state, and we are always here to help you navigate changes in your coverage. When you reach out, Cindy, Tonya, Jeremy, Vicki, and Chelsey will go to work finding the right solution for you.
