On Sunday, the Adult Discussion Group looks deeper into Mark 9: 38-50, in which Jesus encourages his disciples to let others perform miracles when they follow his teachings, to remove those things that keep us from loving, and to be salt for each other.
What makes us salt in our relationships?
And does Jesus really want us to cut off our hand when we stumble??
Join us in the Asbury Room after worship at 11:15am.

In response to interest and requests from parents in our congregation, this fall we’ll be offering a Faith Formation opportunity for children up to and including 4th graders during part of our 10:00 am worship service. Children will head to their Faith Formation group right after the scripture reading and before the sermon. The group will be led by members of the congregation, will include Singing and Signing with Peter Hill, and will meet twice a month. The next date for this opportunity is this Sunday, September 29th.
After September, the group will meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Stay tuned for more details!
Faith Formation groups for Middle School (grades 5-8) and High School (grades 9-12) will meet following the 10:00 am worship service from 11:15 am - noon, beginning on Sunday, September 29th.
Questions? Interested in helping?
Contact Pastor Sharon Yarger at scyarger@optonline.net or at the church office.

Thank you
St. Patrick Church
Last week, 4 members from St. Patrick Church dropped off 4 car loads of non-perishable groceries that were collected at St. Pat's for the Food Pantry as part of the Chatham Interfaith Council initiative that asks local churches to get involved on a regular basis by collecting food monthly. Deacon Mark Nixon, and his wife Barbara volunteer every Wednesday afternoon at the Food Distribution and are are familiar with the process of sorting the food and stocking the shelves.
