- Of concern, for Jaclyn and her unborn twins. May they be delivered safe and healthy.
- Of concern, for Gloria, starting cancer treatment and for Jaclyn and her unborn twins that they be born healthy.
- Of healing and concern, for Rosa as she continues to heal from back surgery and for Alex as he undergoes treatment for leukemia.
- Of healing, for children who don't feel loved or don't feel that they can be their true selves.
- Of healing, for Kathy, who sustained neck injuries in a fall.
- Of healing, for Leigh, in hospital with covid.
- Of healing, for Cathy.
- For Arthur, on his hospice care and for Audrey as she cares for him.
- For Michael Raheem Washington, who entered life eternal on December 23, 2023. Bless his family and friends as they grieve his death and give thanks for his life.
- For Benjamin and his family, for strength, understanding and renewal.
- For Audrey and family, as they grieve the loss of Arthur who entered life eternal on December 26, 2023.
- For hospital #5 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Epiphany White Gift Sunday will be celebrated this Sunday January 7, 2024. We have decided to give the Magi a few extra days to make their journey! Our White Gifts this year will once again benefit "Our Promise", part of "Family Promise". Our Promise is a day center for those facing homelessness in Morristown; it is under the umbrella of the Family Promise organization.

Adult Discussion Group
The Adult Discussion Group will resume meetings this Sunday, January 7th, in the Asbury Room at 11:15am after worship. We’ll take a look at the Magi and their gifts. Who were these people, and how did they hear about the birth of a new king? And what gifts do we bring, perhaps to those in need? Join us on Sunday, January 7th for our 10:00am service as the Covenant Choir sings Benjamin Britten’s A New Year Carol and our CUMC Choral Scholars lead our Epiphany celebration with the hymn, We Three Kings.
The first recital of 2024 in our Chatham UMC Sanctuary will take place on Monday evening of January 8th at 7:00pm hosted by the Suburban Music Study Club. Carolyn Enger, piano, and Merynda Adams, harp will perform “Music For The New Year,” a gentle, candlelit recital with an opportunity for audience members to light a candle of hope. All are invited to this free recital.

We present gifts for the Christ Child who comes disguised in the homeless community in Morristown. All are invited to bring socks, underwear, toiletry items and monetary donations that can be given to ministries in Morristown to support their care for the homeless population.

All are invited to come, bring a breakfast casserole, dish, food to share. We’ll supply the coffee, tea, bagels, cream cheese, nametags, etc. Brunch Church will include scriptures, a message for children, for youth and adults, sacred music, community building, and a time of prayer.

Faith Formation (Sunday School) takes place on Sunday mornings at 11:15am for
Kindergarteners and up!
Whirl Kids (K – 4th grade) Sundays at 11:15am meet with Jenee James and Peter Hill in Room 6. For music, a fun video, and activities related to the day’s Bible reading.
Middle School (5th-8th grade) –Sundays at 11:15am meet with Matthew Beland in the Library for community building and growing together in our faith.
High School – Sundays at 11:15am meet with Sami Main, our Director of Children's and Youth Ministry, in the Wesley Room.
