UMCOR Sunday

The Native American Ministries offering bolsters the work of Native American ministries in annual conferences throughout the United States. These ministries exist in rural and urban settings, including reservation and other community ministries. The Native American Ministries offering also provides scholarships for Native Americans studying at United Methodist schools of theology and empowers congregations to find culturally appropriate ways to minister to their communities through Christ’s love.

Adult Class

On Sunday our Adult Discussion Group explores Luke 24:13-35, on the road to Emmaus, when the disciples said, “Didn’t we feel on fire as he conversed with us on the road, as he opened up the Scriptures for us?” What resonates with you? If you have questions, contact Ronald Yarger at ryarger@optonline.net

Our music program is looking for musicians for two groups: The Instrumental Ensemble and The Wesley Ringers. If you would like to join either group or find out more contact Peter Hill, music director at petepiano@mac.com.

Community Updates

Until further notice we have decided that we will keep the doors locked during the hours that CMP is open. We know this will be somewhat inconvenient and pose a challenge to our ministry of hospitality and welcome, but these are the times in which we live. After Monday's experience of the Madison and Chatham schools' sudden shelter-in-place response to word of nearby college campus' going into lockdown, we will need to do everything in our power to make the children, parents, and all staff at Chatham Methodist Preschool and CUMC feel safe.
