Theis Garden Dedication at Trinity Village

Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 10:30am.

A beautiful garden area near the flagpole is being dedicated in the memory of Carolyn Theis.

All are invited to attend this ceremony.

We are grateful to share highlights from our Leadership Board meeting on May 19, 2026.

Jennifer Fox shared a wonderful update on our children's ministry. Our tutoring program has grown from 18 children to 27, with nearly every child now working one-on-one with an adult, and most of these children are returning for Project Transformation this summer. Our Sunday school students received new Bibles and are growing in scripture memorization and annotation, and our children are participating faithfully in the acolyte program. The Children’s Ministry team is looking ahead with plans for the Fall in Mid-Week Manna, Confirmation class and Youth.

We affirmed the new nominations to the Mi Casa Board: Lupita Chavez, Geraldin Mondragon, Sandy Bobo, Barrie Hardin, Terry Wynne, Sheila Mitchell, and Nancy Dobbs. De Gasnier was elected as Lay Leader.

Fred Reed shared that our sanctuary stayed dry after recent rains, and now that the roof leaks are repaired, the board approved the needed funds for the repairs to the Fellowship Hall and the Sanctuary. Congregational giving is meeting our expenses year-to-date. Giving statements will be mailed in June.

Pastor Sam gave an update on Project Transformation. The interns arrive for training on May 28 with the students beginning on June 9. This year PT is adding a Middle School program for the first time with space for 20 students in 6th-8th grade and the elementary program has space for 50 students. There are opportunities for the congregation to participate as reading volunteers and providing meals for the PT interns. We give thanks for this faithful work and closed our meeting in prayer.

Pastor Sara led us through a DISC assessment of our board, naming our shared strengths of deep listening, consensus building, thorough work, loyalty, and stability, while inviting us to grow in faster decision-making and welcoming new voices. Our Creating Culture of Renewal leadership program is completing its first year, with next year turning toward visioning.

We're Getting Ready!

The buses are getting ready to transport P.T. kids. Thank you to Angel and Jorge for washing the buses and to Linda LaClair for all of her hard work organizing our transportation needs.
