Dear Friends,

In the hymn, "How Great Is Our God," have you ever paused to appreciate the powerful imagery? The song begins, "The splendor of the king / clothed in majesty; / Let all the earth rejoice." We sing about the king being wrapped in light, and about darkness hiding ad trembling at His voice. How can we fathom the greatness of God? This weekend, come along on the journey as we consider how worship shapes our beings.

Don't forget to share with us how we can be praying for you this week.
This Sunday we will meet together for the Lord's Supper during both services. Our tradition at FBC is to take up a special offering for our Benevolence Ministry on Communion Sundays. This offering goes directly to help those in our local community who are most vulnerable and in need. You can give online anytime by selecting "Benevolence" from the drop-down menu at our website below.
Weekday Recognition in Connexion this Sunday
This Sunday, we will recognize the vital work our Weekday Education Program does throughout the school year to instill Christian values in our youngest citizens. By creating an atmosphere that supports spiritual, social, emotional, academic, and physical growth, Weekday has become one of the most well-respected and desired preschool programs in Griffin. We have classes available for children age one through kindergarten.

One Church
a blog post by Ellee Hilley

I posted this picture on Facebook with the caption that this “was a moment of holiness, pure beauty of the “seasons” of creation, a moment of awakening to the glory of all that was and is and is to come”. I’d come to the church early one morning to practice, and was awestruck at how God met me there. It was about 7 am one morning and it was a reminder of the faithfulness of God.

Servants' Hearts
Did you know that our Weekday Program kids collect "pop tops" for the Ronald McDonald House? They recently sent a donation, and Ronald posed with the bags for a quick picture. Our Weekday Program sponsors a room at the Ronald McDonald House each year, which is a substantial ministry to families with children seeking treatments for serious illnesses.

Discerning Truth in a Culture of Lies
