New Faces to Our Stage
Each season, Hart House Theatre is honoured to provide a stage for emergent talent - talents that are sure to find a home on professional Canadian stages. Here are a few of the actors who are working to rock the house in or upcoming production of
Hair:
Andrew is a new performer to art House Theatre, but certainly no stranger to the stage. Since graduating from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with his MA in Musical Theatre, Andrew has been working across Canada and abroad in such productions as
We Will Rock You and
Urinetown for the Stephenville Theatre Festival as well as
Beauty and the Beast,
The Wizard of Oz and
Sister Act for regional theatres.
Christian is a recent graduate of the Randolph College for the Performing Arts. He joins the ranks of new performers to our stage who have completed training programs and are now launching themselves into professional careers.
Marisa is a graduate from Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance Program who recently appeared on stage at the Charlottetown Theatre Festival. As well as her passion for performing, Marisa has a passion for social justice through her work with Diva Day - an initiative to help make education more accessible for women and girls around the world.
Born and raised in Toronto, William grew up on the ice as a competitive goalie. His debut performance was as Prince Harry in
Once Upon a Mattress, later transitioning to productions with Toronto Youth Theatre, and then following his passion to the University of Guelph, completing his B.A. in Theatre Studies.
David is a triple threat performer and aspiring choreographer. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, David moved to Canada to study Music Theatre at Sheridan College. David joins us after appearing at the Shaw Festival and before joining the team at Neptune Theatre to create the Canadian premiere performance of
The Colour Purple.
