Give the Gift of Lifetime Membership
PCA would be nothing without its members. Your membership fees support the infrastructure of our organization in countless ways; membership fees support staff salaries, website operations, and the everyday activities required to sustain the Association. Your membership fees are crucial to the future of PCA and to future scholars of Popular Culture.

In celebration of PCA's fiftieth anniversary, the Governing Board has voted unanimously to again offer Lifetime Membership for a limited time. The field of Popular Culture is growing and changing in exciting ways, and we would love for you to become a premier member of this distinguished professional association of scholars.
This "forever" membership for an individual includes:
  • Yearly membership in PCA
  • Yearly gift digital subscription to either The Journal of Popular Culture or the Journal of American Culture
  • Yearly registration for the annual conference
  • Recognition in conference programs
  • Special lifetime member events
Lifetime Membership is currently $1500 per person; this special rate will only be available until December 31, 2020. After this date, the cost increases to $2000 for a short time only. If your department has surplus funds because of limited travel due to Covid-19 and these funds need to be used by the end of the fiscal year, this may be a golden opportunity to cover your conference costs for the foreseeable future. If you are interested in becoming a lifetime member or wish to give someone the gift of lifetime membership, please contact Lynn Bartholome, Executive Director, at
