If you've experienced the loss of a loved one, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate grief by yourself. The Grief Ministry invites you to join Grief Share, a 13-week support group designed to help you process your loss and find hope for the days ahead.
Held on third Sundays after worship in Family LIfe Center Room C-205, Grief Share is a safe, welcoming space where you’ll find understanding, comfort, and practical tools to cope with the ups and downs of grief. Together, we’ll explore what’s “normal” in grief, how to handle difficult emotions, and ways to find healing—one step at a time.
There’s no cost to join—just bring your time, your heart, and your openness to healing. Share with those in your life who would benefit from healing in community.

We are proud to share that our Senior Pastor, Dr. Jacqueline Thompson, has co-authored a timely and thoughtful op-ed in The Root titled “Our Ancestors Fought With Love — Now It’s Our Turn.”
The article reflects on a defining truth in the Black Church tradition: love has never meant silence. The love of our ancestors was courageous, disciplined, and public. It confronted injustice without surrendering to hatred. We encourage you to take a few moments to read the full piece here.
The article also introduces Love Free, a national movement rooted in faith and moral courage. Love Free is calling people of conscience to affirm that love and liberation still belong together — and to commit to practicing that love in tangible ways. You can learn more about Love Free and sign the pledge here.

Here’s your wake-up call: Daylight saving time may affect your heart health
As we prepare to “spring forward” on March 8th, the American Heart Association cites scientific research that indicates the springtime change may negatively impact your heart and brain health. While gaining extra daylight may be a nice change, the transition could come with some health challenges.
Losing an extra hour of sleep may not be the worst thing that could happen when you “spring forward” at the start of daylight-saving time. According to the American Heart Association’s researchers have noticed a marked increase in heart attacks and strokes in the days following this time change each year.

Ways to Give
Worship Through Giving
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
Malachi 3:10 NRSV
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 ESV
We invite you to join us in worshipping our Lord through giving and to regularly support Allen Temple financially so that the ministry of the church thrives all the more in the midst of difficult days.
Your consistent giving of tithes and offering can be done in the following ways:
