FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK

Annie Patt,

New Allied Artists President,

Highlights 2026 Exhibition Opportunities

Dear Members, Associates, and Friends,

I’m delighted to be writing to you as I step into the presidency of Allied Artists of America. Gabriela Dellosso has spent the past several years strengthening and expanding the organization, and I’m excited to continue building on her impactful work. By way of introduction, I’ve served on the Allied board for nearly two decades in various roles. As an artist, it has always been a joy to support fellow artists by helping create meaningful exhibition opportunities.

I’m pleased to share that we have several exciting exhibitions planned for the year ahead. Our 113th Exhibition will once again have two components: an online show running from July 1, 2026 through July 1, 2027, and an in-person exhibition at the Reading Public Museum. If you visited the museum for the 2025 show, you already know what a beautiful and inspiring venue it is—a privilege for any artist to see their work displayed in such a place.

I’m also happy to report that we’ve been able to keep our entry fees the same this year, with no increases for participating artists. Entry forms will be available on our website and on ShowSubmit.com.

In addition, our biannual Associate Online Show will be returning. This exhibition is especially meaningful to me as I have been involved since we started the tradition. It allows us to connect with our largest group of affiliated artists—our Associate Members—and to celebrate your work. The show will run online from May 1, 2026 through May 1, 2028. You can find the prospectus on our website or enter through ShowSubmit.com before March 16.

As we look ahead to an exciting year, I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of our Elected Members and Associates. Allied Artists of America exists for you—and because of you.

Warmest regards,

Annie Patt

President

ALLIED ARTISTS 2025 EXHIBITION

Photo shown above: Artist Steve Scheuring at the Reading Public Museum

By Steve Scheuring

I always enjoy and look forward to the Allied Artists of America’s annual show. The live exhibition of award winners and other invited works is a great opportunity to connect with some amazing artists, and the level of work is always top notch. I was especially thrilled to find out the 2025 live exhibition—the 112th annual—was “on my home turf” at the Reading Public Museum, Reading, Pennsylvania, just a stone’s throw away for all our East Coast members (website: https://www.readingpublicmuseum.org/).

HONORORARY MEMBERS

David M. Band

LIN WANG,

$6,000 AUDREY LOVE MEMORIAL AWARD

“I feel very honored and surprised to receive the Audrey Love Memorial Award,” she wrote in a statement. “This award is a recognition of my art to me, and I would like to thank Allied Artists of America for the recognition.”

Wang, who lives in Liaoning, China, majored in art design. She began to self-teach watercolor painting and she discovered “artistic languages that resonate with my personal expression. Through multiple experiments and reflection, I finally chose still life composition as my main medium, focusing glass and metal items. My intention is to challenge the concept of still life and to prove that still life painting can not only serve as a tool for technical mastery but also to convey contemporary ideas and inner emotions.”

LINDA HARRIS, GOLD MEDAL OF HONOR AWARD

Reynolds has been creating memorable portraits for families and individuals for the past thirty-six years. Working mostly in oils, pastels, and charcoals, her lively painting style serves to enhance the personality of her subjects and reflects a blending of classical realism and impressionism. Her more personal narrative work often features her family members to express for global issues about society.

MEGAN READ, SILVER MEDAL OF HONOR

For Megan Elizabeth Read, a last-minute decision to enter the show paid off and she received the Allied Artists of America’s Silver Medal of Honor.

“I hadn’t really submitted too much for a year or two, but I decided to send my work in at the last moment and I’m so glad I did. What an amazing reminder of how helpful competitions can be and I am incredibly grateful for this award.”

RUBIN ANTAR, BRONZE MEDAL OF HONOR

Antar said her sculptures look to capture stories in stone. Over a career spanning more than four decades, she has developed two parallel yet intertwining bodies of work: hyper-realistic carvings of everyday objects that immortalize icons of American pop culture, and expressionist stone forms that embody deeply personal narratives of trauma, healing, and resilience.
