Multi-State Sales Tax Filing Requirements
On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court issued a decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair. The decision overturned the physical presence standard for state sales and use tax nexus.

States are still responding to the decision, but ultimately, it could create multi-state filing requirements for many more businesses across the country. Businesses who generate sales in multiple states need to be aware of these changes and should continue to monitor and track the filing requirements within the states that they do business.

2018 Deadline Approaches - SIMPLE IRA or 401(K)
A new SIMPLE IRA or Safe Harbor 401(K) must be set up with an effective date between January 1 and October 1 in order to be applied to 2018. Plans established on October 2 or later will be applied to 2019.

If you are considering setting up a business SIMPLE IRA or Safe Harbor 401(K), the time is now to contact our Financial Services department to get your plan established before the October 1st deadline.
Search For Unclaimed Funds
Lost or unclaimed money gets turned over by organizations required to report dormant accounts to the New York State Office of the State Comptroller. This money includes things like forgotten savings accounts, lost paychecks, and stocks or bonds.
