We wanted to inform you of production interruptions communicated by Conagra affecting select Frozen Multi-serve and Single-serve Meal items due to ingredient shortages, particularly related to manufacturing challenges at the primary facility that cooks the proteins used in Conagra Frozen Meals. Conagra is taking immediate corrective action to address these issues while maintaining their high-quality standards.
The corrective actions include temporarily halting production, implementing operational adjustments, and restarting at a slower pace to ensure product consistency. Additionally, Conagra is working to qualify alternative ingredient suppliers to support inventory rebuilding.
Key updates include:
Strategic Initiatives:
- Allocation: An allocation will be implemented on select Multi-serve Meals, effective immediately. Recovery is expected by May 25, 2025.
- Supply Constraints: The Single-serve Meal portfolio is expected to maintain strong fill rates and will not be placed on allocation. However, some Single-serve Meal items will experience supply constraints, with a full recovery anticipated by May 25, 2025.
- Temporary Production Hold: Effective immediately, select Single-serve and Multi-serve Meal items will be placed on a Temporary Production Hold. This is in order to prioritize recovery on core business lines.
Merchandising Guidelines:
- Single-serve Meals: Merchandising and advertising activity will be supported at a strong service level, although service on select items may be impacted by the ongoing supply constraints.
- Multi-serve Meals: We recommend removing merchandising and ad activity for select Multi-serve Meals through May 25, 2025, as these items will be affected by the supply challenges.
- Discontinuations: Certain Single-serve Meal items will be discontinued immediately as Conagra prioritizes its core business. Please collaborate with your Conagra Brands sales representative to explore swap opportunities within the Single-serve Meals portfolio.
