HELP US REACH OUR FUNDRASING GOALS

Support Allure Alliance – Invest in Black Women

At Allure Alliance Inc., we believe in the power of community-driven solutions to transform health outcomes. As a Black woman-owned nonprofit, we are deeply committed to reducing health disparities in marginalized communities. Through our work in health education, Community Health Worker (CHW) training, and sexual health advocacy, we strive to provide vital services in historically underserved areas and excluded from healthcare resources.

We are calling on our community, allies, and supporters to help us reach our $5,000 fundraising goal on I Live Here, I Give Here to expand our programs and provide essential resources for those in need. Your support will allow us to continue advocating for the health and well-being of Black women and BIPOC communities, creating sustainable, equitable change.

What We’ve Already Accomplished

  • Trained and Certified CHWs – Our first cohort of 15 Community Health Workers (CHWs) has graduated, and each will reach at least 150 community members per year, impacting a minimum of 2,250 individuals annually.

  • Hosted KISS & TELL Events – We've created safe spaces for Black women to discuss critical topics such as sexual health, reproductive justice, and overall well-being, empowering them to make informed health decisions.

  • Expanded Access to Reproductive Health Education – We have provided education and resources on HIV prevention, STI screenings, PrEP awareness, and birth control access, ensuring our communities have the tools to make empowered health choices.

  • Advocated for Health Equity – We work tirelessly to ensure that Black women and marginalized communities in Austin/Travis County—and beyond—have access to essential healthcare and resources.

  • QUEEN TALK Exceeded Program Measures – Our QUEEN TALK program has surpassed its goals by engaging more participants than expected, fostering in-depth discussions, and providing invaluable resources to Black women in our community.

Taking Care of Yourself as The World Changes

In today's climate of political turbulence, maintaining good mental health is more important than ever. Whether you're navigating heated debates, social media overload, or uncertainty, here are some tips to help you stay grounded:

  1. Limit Media Consumption: Stay informed, but set boundaries on how much news and social media you consume daily.
  2. Practice Self-Care: Make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation, whether it's reading, exercising, or spending time with loved ones.
  3. Stay Connected: Seek support from friends and family. Share your feelings and concerns in a supportive environment.
  4. Focus on What You Can Control: Channel your energy into productive activities or advocacy efforts that align with your values.
  5. Seek Professional Help if Needed: Don't hesitate to reach out to a mental health professional if you're feeling overwhelmed or anxious.

By prioritizing your mental health and practicing self-care, you can navigate political upheaval with resilience and strength.

Our Commitment to Racial Equity

Allure Alliance remains steadfast in addressing racial disparities in health. As we approach Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 10th, 2025, it's crucial to highlight the ongoing efforts to educate, support, and empower women and girls in the fight against HIV/AIDS. This day serves as a reminder of the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS on women, particularly women of color, and emphasizes the importance of awareness, prevention, and access to care.

"Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a pivotal moment to address the unique challenges faced by women in our communities. It's a time to amplify our voices, educate ourselves and others, and ensure equitable access to healthcare and support services."

Events across the country will focus on education, testing, and supporting those living with HIV/AIDS. Every effort counts in building healthier and more resilient communities, from educational workshops to community outreach programs.
