Tuesday, October 24: Club opens at 4 p.m.
With a fall chill in the air, it's a great time to drop by the Alma City Club. We're always cozy and warm!
Drop by the Club from 4 p.m. to closing for a glass of wine or whatever your liquid pleasure. We have a large selection of wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.
A visit to the Club early in the week is a sure way to relax!

Wednesday, October 25: Food service and live entertainment
Thanks so much to Daniel St. Louis for the photos taken at last week's Wednesday evening event!
If you need a break from your work week, Wednesday evenings are always a happening time at the Club! There's delicious food and live entertainment all rolled into one! It's a recipe for a great time!
• Club opens: 4 p.m.
• Live music: Enjoy live entertainment of popular songs starting at 7 p.m.
• Food service: Served from 6-8 p.m.
Chef Bouch's menu:
• Jumbo shrimp cocktail ($16): Shrimp (5) served with cocktail sauce.
• Pan-seared scallops ($18): Five pan-seared scallops served with cranberry sauce demi-glace.
• Filet mignon crostini ($22): Crostini (4) with filet mignon and topped with Dijon mustard and horseradish sauce.
• Seafood Neptune au gratin ($24): Mixed seafood, including scallops, shrimp, haddock and salmon, tossed in creamy béchamel sauce and served with a small caesar salad and garlic bread.
• English-style fish and chips ($17): Traditional English-style cod fillet served with crispy fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce.
• Maritime mussels ($18): 1 lb of PEI steamed mussels tossed in creamy pesto sauce and served with Chef Bouch's secret sauce.
• Chicken wings ($15): 1 lb of Thai chicken wings cooked to perfection and served with fries and your choice of sauce (honey garlic, sweet chili, mild, medium).
• Homemade beef burger ($16): Grilled beef burger topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, dill pickle, aioli sauce and served with fries.
• Mac and cheese ($22): Lobster mac and cheese tossed in creamy béchamel sauce and served with garlic bread.

Thursday, October 26: Lunch & Learn with Bernard Lord, CEO of Medavie
The Alma City Club is pleased to welcome Bernard Lord, CEO of Medavie and former Premier of New Brunswick, for a Lunch & Learn presentation on Thursday, October 26.

Bernard Lord was admitted to the New Brunswick Law Society in 1993 and named Queen’s Counsel (now King's Counsel) in 2011. He served as Premier of New Brunswick from 1999 to 2006, at the time the youngest person in the province’s history to be elected in that position. During his time in provincial politics, he served as the MLA for Moncton East.
In 2017 and 2018, he co-chaired the Greater Moncton Gives Back campaigns, raising $182,500 for Headstart and $172,000 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Moncton respectively. He also served as Co-Chair of the Université de Moncton’s Évolution fundraising campaign with a $50-million goal.
Mr. Lord is currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medavie, a position he has held since 2016. In this capacity, he has championed and brought significant projects to Greater Moncton, supporting causes such as the Peter McKee Community Food Centre to promote healthier food choices as well as the Atlantic Wellness Centre for integrated mental health care services aimed particularly at youth.
Prior to taking the reins of Medavie, Mr. Lord spent eight years on the organization’s Board of Directors and also served as President and CEO of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, now the Canadian Telecommunications Association.
Mr. Lord has received several accolades, including honorary doctoral degrees from the Université de Moncton, the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University. He is also a member of the Order of New Brunswick and was named Grand Officier de La Pléiade (Ordre de la Francophonie). He was awarded the Ordre du mérite des diplômés et diplômées de l’Université de Moncton in 2000 and was named a champion of public education by the Learning Partnership in 2011. He is also a member of the Order of Moncton.

It's hard to believe that it's already been 10 years since the Alma City Club was founded in 2013!
To commemorate the occasion, we're organizing a celebration for the evening of Friday, November 3, at the Club!
The celebration begins at 6 p.m. with a meet-and-greet followed by hors d'oeuvres. Features from the bar include a special anniversary martini for $10 and a 10-oz glass of red or white house wine for $10. Cost per person is $25.
