Cherry Blossom Festival

March 21 β€’ 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. β€’ Conference Center, Lower Level

Experience the beauty and tradition of Japan right here in our community! The Cherry Hill Public Library invites you to a vibrant Cherry Blossom Festival, a special day dedicated to embracing Japanese heritage through hands-on activities, art, and tradition. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and neighbors to come together and explore the rich cultural tapestry of Japan.

Immerse yourself in a variety of cultural experiences throughout the day:

  • Art & Crafting: traditional paper crafting (Origami), cherry blossom painting, and Kimono dress-up.
  • Culinary Fun: Learn about and taste sushi and miso soup.
  • Traditional Arts:  Ikebana (flower arranging) and Tea Ceremony.

Important Registration Details

To ensure an authentic experience, some sessions have limited capacity:

  • Separate Registration Required: You must register in advance for the Tea Ceremony and Ikebana workshops.
  • Participation Limit: Those two activities run at the same time; each person may register for ONLY ONE of these two featured activities (either Tea Ceremony or Ikebana).
