As we are getting out into the community and reaching more people around the state, we've run into some common questions. Here are some questions and answers you may be wondering about!
Q: Is your Lending Library online?
A: Not yet, but it will be October 1, 2024. We are working with a national system to get our inventory online so anyone can view it and request items for loans.
Q: How do I know what's in the Lending Library now?
A: You can email or call us to find out! jen@atrc.org, 808-532-7115
Q: How long can I borrow items from ATRC?
A: The standard loan is 6 weeks.
Q: Do I have to live on Oahu to get a loan?
A: No! We are a statewide agency and you can live on any island to use our services.
Q: How can I request an item from your reuse program?
A: The reuse inventory and request system will be integrated into the online system that goes live on October 1, 2024. But for now, please contact us to find out what we have available at this time. lanh@atrc.org 808-532-7113
Q: I have some AT that I'd like to donate. What do I need to do?
A: Contact us! As long as it's in working order, we can take it as a donation. Depending on what kind of AT it is, and how old the device is, we will either add it to the lending library or put it in the reuse program.
Q: How much does it cost to borrow something?
A: Nothing! The Lending Library is a free service. If you choose to mail the item back to the office when your loan is over, it will cost you the shipping fee. Arrangements can be made if this would be prohibitive to your loan.
Please contact us if you have any other questions, or if you want to talk about a device, a loan, or a reuse item!
