"Changing Lives....One Dog At A Time..."
Max's Bio:

Max is a 10 year old male terrier mix whose owner suddenly passed. He and two brothers were left back and AIR took them in. Max is a calm dog who would do well in a quiet household. He is about 12 lbs. He is waiting for his special human to come along and give him daily walks like his former daddy used to. Max is lovingly fostered by Bonnie. Happy October!

We wanted to update you and let you know the amazing things that we are doing with your help! We are still marching forward and bringing more education to our community thru our Guinea Pig Program in the schools and always helping the dogs that need us most. Visit our page at to see our adoptable dogs and see the many ways you can help.

Remember, none of this would be possible without donations and the support of you, our dog loving village, our community... THANK YOU!

Check our statistics here to see how many dogs you've saved with your donations! We always make sure the dogs go to amazing homes and we do home visits for anyone we aren't familiar with or doesn't come with references. It's our promise to you, and to the lives of these amazing animals, that we will do our best by them.....every single time.

Healthy Treat for your Pets!
Pupcakes – by Alia Nguyen
Makes 12 pupcakes
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. baking soda
¼ cup plain yogurt
2-1/2 T. vegetable oil
2 T. honey (or sweetener of choice)
1 egg
½ apple finely diced
½ cup grated cheddar cheese
¼ cup carrots, finely diced

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line muffin pan with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  3. In bowl of mixer, blend together the yogurt, vegetable oil, honey and eggs; then stir in apple, cheese, and carrots. Add flour to the mixture and stir just until mixed. Batter should be a little lumpy.
  4. Fill liners 2/3 full with batter. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let pupcakes cool for 15 minutes, then the eating can begin.

My grandniece found this recipe in a book, and copied it down with her 2 nd grade handwriting, for her dog loving aunt. Every summer when she comes to Hawaii to visit, it is a tradition that we make these pupcakes for my dogs to enjoy. They gobble it up. - Aimee Kaneko
October Foster Spotlight!
Foster Spotlight!
As we all know....none of what we do would be possible without Fosters. Let us introduce Bonnie Leslie-Jones! This amazing woman is tremendously valuable to our organization. She has taken in, cared for and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs in the time she has been with our organization and never has she met a dog she can't work with. Her dogs are always happy, healthy, potty trained (even puppies) and friendly to people and other dogs. Her amazing attitude rubs off on everyone around her! Bonnie also has two amazing children and a wonderful husband who support her and her dog saving heart. Bonnie usually has anywhere from 5-20 fosters at her home. Can you tell we love Bonnie?
