2015 is about to come to a close and we look forward to a bright new year, as we celebrate our 10th year on the tropical island of Alameda!

Blue Diamond Fillups (Rockabilly 50s)

Blue Diamond Fillups was formed in 2009 as a foot stomping, roots rock and country revue with homage to the pioneers of 1950's rock and country music. They play unique arrangements of songs from the likes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Gene Vincent, Ronnie Dawson, and Elvis, among others. Blue Diamond Fillups' set list of over 3 hours of music has audiences up and dancing at music festivals, car shows and nightclubs throughout Northern California. They have entertained and energized audiences over the years and are always adding to the growing fan base of Blue Diamond Fillups devotees.

Sunday December 13
Meshugga Beach Party (Surf)
4-6pm, No Cover

Meshugga Beach Party brings together many favorite Jewish melodies with the fun, retro-cool sounds of surf music. The band puts on an exciting, high energy live show - dressed like rabbis, synchronized dance moves, the "dead joke scrolls" - it's surfin' shtick at its finest. The band features guitars, piano, organ, bass and drums, and the occasional holler for good measure.

Recently inducted into the "100 Weirdest Bands" list (!), Meshugga been mixing "Hava Nagila" with "Miserlou" since 2003 and have released a ton of music, including a Hanukkah album because hey, everybody loves that "Dreidel, Dreidel" song, right? Their other titles include Let's Go Shlepping! and Twenty Songs of the Chosen Surfers. Their albums have been top favorites for years on our free-play jukebox.

The Deadlies - Annual Xmas Show

The Deadlies are an entirely new type of surf band, paying homage to the Ventures, Dick Dale and the Chantays, as well as the California Honky-tonk sound of Buck Owens while keeping an under lying presence of the California surf punk scene that brought us the Dickies, Agent Orange and Top Jimmy and the Rhythm Pigs. Their annual Holiday themed Surf show is always a great time, a perfect pre-Xmas treat!

Our pals, pulp fiction author Will "the Thrill" Viharo and Monica, Tiki Goddess will be stopping by our little slice of Paradise while visiting the family for the Holidays! Will and co-author Scott Fulks will be signing copies of their all new sci-fi cocktail collaboration, The Space Needler's Intergalactic Bar Guide, as well as his all new Vic Valentine, Private Eye novel "Hard-boiled Heart". "So come on down to my favorite bar and let's toast with a Vic Valentine or a Space Needler cocktail (created by FI's own Becca Morris)! Mele Kalikimaka, my friends, cheers & aloha!"
