St. Matthias Receives Foundation Grant

The Episcopal Foundation of WNC recently announced an award of $20,000 to support the preservation of a Black heritage site, St. Matthias Episcopal Church. After almost 130 years, the church buildings and earthwork foundations are threatened by moisture intrusion.

The grant includes funding for the preparation of Site Development and Landscape Plans to guide future investments.

Service Camp Seeks Youth Volunteers

Service camp is an opportunity for campers and staff to give back to the camp community by working on larger scale projects while also enjoying the best aspects of camp in a smaller group. This session fosters a strong sense of community, belonging, and excitement by offering opportunities to experience camp in a new and fulfilling way.

Six Grants Awarded for Children and Youth Programs

New this year, the Patricia Minkler Howell Children's Outreach Grant supports the development of outreach programs for and with children in need. From camp scholarships to mobile meals to artsy faith formation and more, this year's recipients are enhancing communities through opportunities for children and youth.
