What Kevin does in his job:
Kevin is the Director of Blue Ridge Service Corps. BRSC is program for young adults who seek a unique experience in community, service, and growth. Our BRSC Fellows live together in intentional community, serve alongside area non-profits, and commit to a program year focused on spiritual formation, vocational development, and personal growth.
What Kevin loves about his job:
I absolutely love getting to accompany young adults for a brief season on their life journey, especially as many of them are at a crossroads and discerning direction. They are wonderful, inspiring people and it is a blessing for me to get to help them see more fully how they are a gift to our world.
| | Disaster Response Spotlight | | |
Over the past year, we have gathered stories from across the diocese—accounts from churches and individuals reflecting on their experiences in the aftermath of Helene. We used these stories to curate 14 stations of witness, reflecting the 14 stations of the cross, at the Helene Remembrance Eucharist. It was a powerful time of reflection, remembrance, and healing. The display shown above is one example of the fourteen stations.
In response to many requests to revisit these stories, we’ve created two ways for you to engage:
1. Online Collection:
You can now view the full collection of stories and photos on our website. There is also an opportunity to share your own story if you haven’t yet done so.
| | |
2. Order Bearing Witness Card Set:
We’ve produced a set 4x6" prints featuring each of the 14 featured photos and reflections. The set is available for $10 to cover printing and shipping costs, with any additional proceeds supporting the Disaster Response Fund.
