Alongside Hope’s Launch Event

On February 27, 2025, we hosted a launch event to celebrate our new name – Alongside Hope. The event began with a meaningful service at the Chapel of the Holy Apostles (Church House), led by the Very Rev. Peter Wall, with the Rev. Canon Donald Butler preaching. Both are members of the Alongside Hope board. Canon Butler's sermon linked the importance of naming, as seen in the Bible, to his own life and to Alongside Hope.

A reception followed at St. Paul's Bloor Street, with inspiring remarks from Mark Hauck, our Board Chair, and Will Postma, Alongside Hope Executive Director. We also premiered a new video featuring parnters and volunteers reflecting on what Alongside Hope meanst to them.

Thank you to all who made time to share in this special moment with us. Your presence made it truly unforgettable!

Funding cuts are having a devastating impact, leaving vulnerable communities without access to food, healthcare, and shelter. As a ministry of the Anglican Church of Canada, Alongside Hope is committed to upholding the dignity and worth of every human being.

Leave a legacy and making a lasting impact

Murray MacAdam, a longtime supporter and former board member of Alongside Hope, has made a remarkable commitment to the organization by including a bequest in his will. This thoughtful gesture will ensure a lasting legacy that continues to inspire positive change for future generations. MacAdam's story is a testament to the power of legacy giving and its potential to create meaningful impact. With his bequest, he is helping to ensure that Alongside Hope can continue to support community-led initiatives and create lasting change.
