We've been blessed to offer the Alpha course for the past two years. However, due to planning complications and the busyness of the seasons, we did not schedule the Alpha Holy Spirit Retreat. As elders, we keep returning to this and want to offer it to all interested on Saturday, January 25, from 9 to 3 p.m. Sign up below.
About the Retreat:
The Alpha Weekend is about getting away from the busyness of everyday life so people can connect with each other and with God. Many people say this part of Alpha was the turning point in their experience. We hope to see hearts more open to Jesus and lives changed.
Why Join?
• We will have the space, time, and atmosphere necessary for us to thoroughly process and reflect on what we are learning.
• We can get to know each other better and build lasting relationships. During the weekend, we present 3-4 teachings (25% of the Alpha material).
• We will offer an opportunity for guests to request prayer and to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
• It’s a special time for God to bless and encourage both us as guests and leaders.
Schedule:
8:00 am – Leaders arrive to set-up, Team Huddle and prayer, get ready to greet guests
9:00 am – Guests arrive. Provide snacks and hot beverages
9:10 am – Worship songs (2)
9:20 am – Introduction to the Alpha Weekend video
9:30 am – Weekend Talk #1 - Who is the Holy Spirit?
10:00 am – Weekend Talk #2 - What does the Holy Spirit do?
10:30 am – Snacks and small group time
11:00 am – Worship song (1)
11:15 am – Weekend Talk #3 - How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
11:45 am – Prayer ministry time
11:55 am – Leader’s meeting
12:30 pm – Lunch and group games,
2:00 pm – Weekend Talk #4 - How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
2:25 pm – Small group discussion or finish
