osuOhio State Volunteers in Mississippi
In late January, the "On Campus Today" email for The Ohio State University community included a request for Buck-I-Serv trip advisors. After reviewing the opportunities, I decided to join the trip to Biloxi, Mississippi for  eco restoration efforts with Community Collaborations. My responsibilities seemed simple: handle the university credit card; rent the vehicle and help the trip leaders. I prepared for the trip by attending the pre-trip meetings to meet the students; packing the recommended items for a
week of working outdoors and gathering plenty of books to read.  I returned with a suitcase full of wet
and dirty laundry, all but one book unopened and a renewed confidence in the college generation.

We  also need university and college volunteer teams to work on our ongoing domestic and international projects this coming fall, winter,  and spring.
