RCMP in southern Manitoba have put out another warning of counterfeit Canadian currency that is circulating in the region.
The latest reports come out of Selkirk, where local RCMP there received a report on Tuesday afternoon of a suspect attempting to purchase goods at a business located along Manitoba Avenue. Officers were advised that a suspect produced two $100 banknotes in an effort to make a purchase when the cashier suspected they were counterfeit and called police. The suspect immediately fled the store.
