The words “connect, empower, transform” capture the essence of our work. They also describe the impact of our Mentors’ annual face-to-face meetings. This month's get-together in Victoria Falls is a case in point. With a focus on strengthening the GSGC Mentor network and its impact, some 20 Mentors and team members bonded, shared successes, and discussed challenges.
Central to every workshop, presentation and activity was our network’s commitment to continuous improvement. Mentors reevaluated mission, goals and values; tapped into individuals’ areas of expertise; proposed coordinating curriculum and club activity planning; discussed GSGC alumni programs; and sharpened meaningful evaluation and learning skills.
