November News and Updates from the Office of Alumnae Relations

Letter from the President

Dear Alumna,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are especially grateful to our alumnae this Thanksgiving season for your continued support of your Alma Mater. Catholic High kicked off the month of November with an extremely successful Gala. I thank everyone who sponsored the event, donated, and attended, which made the Under the Big Top Gala a night to remember!

Catholic High is hoping for another successful National #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, December 2. This year, we are raising funds to upgrade technology that helps our young women thrive in the classroom. I hope you consider donating to support our amazing students!

Please enjoy this November issue of the Alumnae Monthly Update! I hope to see you at one or more events in the near future!

Lux Tua Luceat,

Barbara D. Nazelrod, Ph.D. '68

Junior Ring Liturgy in 1984

This month's edition of From the Archives features a group of young women from the Class of 1986 at their Junior Ring Liturgy on December 5, 1984. These young women worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make their day special!

Young women of Catholic High still receive their Catholic High rings in their Junior year, a tradition that dates back to 1968. More details on the Class of 2027's Junior Ring Liturgy can be found in this newsletter!

Cubs in the Community

On November 13, our young women took a trip to the The Franciscan Center of Baltimore to serve the local community! These Cubs made over 500 lunches for the neighborhood and schools in the surrounding area, assisted guests with their shopping needs, and organized clothes for the clothing closet.

Our students also had the pleasure of volunteering with alumna, Ann Heether '58, and catching up with the Assistant Executive Director of the Franciscan Center and Catholic High Board Member, Rev. Angela Hall!

Junior Rings Shining Brightly!

The Class of 2027 officially became upperclassmen on Wednesday, November 19 as they received their beautiful green and gold Catholic High rings at the Junior Ring Liturgy!

We were honored to welcome Friar Chris Dudek, OFM, from Archbishop Curley High School to preside over the celebration. Centered on the theme, Strength in Sisterhood, the liturgy highlighted the deep bonds within the Class of 2027. As our Juniors placed their sparkling rings on their fingers, they embraced a lasting symbol of sisterhood and tradition.

Cubs Celebrate National French Week
