Montana State University
starts chapter endowment
The Pi Sigma Alpha chapter at Montana State University has been l aying the framework to continue to be known on campus as a prestigious organization. One part of this journey for them has been the start of their chapter endowment, the Pi Sigma Alpha chapter endowment. A chapter endowment fund has a threshold of $10,000 and may be raised over a period of 5 years. This fund helps to secure financial support for the chapter's future as well as show the chapter's commitment to Mortar Board's purpose. It is a huge accomplishment and undertaking for a chapter to make. Both this chapter and Oklahoma Baptist University have opened their chapter endowments this year.
The chapter endowment is not the only project they have been working on. Montana State University also implemented their Perch Project Reading is Leading this year, partnering with three school districts in the surrounding area to promote and encourage literacy. They selected University President, Dr. Waded Cruzado as an honorary member. While s erving as the 12th president of Montana State University, she has put student success at the forefront of her objectives and quadrupled their number of presidential scholarships. In addition she launched several campaigns to win more than $650 million for sponsored research projects.
