Recent Alumni Successes
  • Oscar P. (Class of 2025) served as the School Vice President at USC Ednovate Brio College Prep during the 2018-19 school year.

  • Emely G. (Class of 2025) was selected to be a part of the National Honor Society. The junior at University Prep Value High School was selected among her peers for her scholarship, service, leadership and character.

  • Areli S. (Class of 2025) was selected as captain of the volleyball team at Alliance Ted K. Tajima High School.

  • Xochilt T. (Class of 2025) has maintained a cumulative 4.0 GPA at USC Ednovate Brio College Prep.

  • Omar M. (Class of 2026) completed over 36 hours of community service during his summer break, assisting with various projects and preparations for the upcoming school year at Equitas Academy. 

  • Yashelyn H. (Class of 2026) participated in a statewide student leadership conference in Sacramento on November 3rd, 2019 as a part of the California Association of Student Councils.

#EQtoCollege Instagram Highlight: "I See You at UCI"
Equitas alumni from all three classes filled a school bus for a day trip to the University of California, Irvine (UCI), on Saturday, October 19. Money recently ranked UCI the No. 1 "best college" in the country, the first public school to top the list. UCI took the top spot from Princeton after scoring well across the board but especially in the measures of low-income and Pell Grant enrollment and favorable graduate outcomes. Read more | Follow us

Equitas is proud to announce the launch of the Equitas Alumni website! Accessible at equitasacademy.org/alumni, alumni can visit to find resources for academic support, college planning, events, and volunteer opportunities. Developed in-house by Ms. Finelli and Mr. Iniguez, the hope was to ensure a full offering of critical supports as our alumni navigate their college pathways. For 10 years after 8th grade culmination, Equitas is here to support alumni and the website will serve as the central hub to stay connected to our 250+ alumni!

We are now accepting nominations for the Commitment to Community Award. Presented at the Alumni Winter Social, alumni are recognized for their leadership and dedication to their school, community and neighborhood. Deadline is Friday, December 13.
Our Equitas College and Career Resource Library is a collection of books, booklets, handouts, and college brochures for Equitas alumni and families to discover and make plans for the future. Explore the resources and visit the Library today!
Equitas alumni have  exclusive access to a Test Preparation Coach to assist with creating a study schedule, overcoming test anxiety, and developing strategies for test preparation and test day success. In addition, alumni have free access to thousands of courses and resources on Study.com!

Three ways for community members to help our alumni stay on track toward a bachelor's degree.
Apply to be an MVP
This January, Equitas launches its Mentor-Volunteer Program (MVP) for current alumni. Alumni will be paired with college-educated professionals in their field of interest to volunteer on-the-job and receive support on their path to college. All you need is a bachelor's degree; no college advising experience necessary!
Volunteer at our Winter Social
Every December, Equitas alumni are invited back to their campus for a homecoming dinner at our "Home for the Holidays" Winter Social. Help us serve dinner and make sure the event runs smoothly. Various shifts available.
