Have you ever seen the color-coded diamond placards on trucks and tank cars with 4-digit numbers?
You have Britain Bruner, (Class of 2005) in part to thank for those signs that help keep us safe. Britain Bruner’s office at PHMSA in the DC area is responsible for providing the technical expertise to ensure that the proper colors and numbers are used whenever hazardous good are transported.
Britain’s office is front and center in developing and reviewing research, regulations, permits, approvals, and industry standards pertaining to the transportation of dangerous goods.

In the past 10 years, Vanguard has had 48 students recognized by the National Merit Scholarship program, which is 1 out of every 9 graduates for past 10 years.

Mr. Bill Bewley visited campus to
meet the recipient of the Arminda Bewley Scholarship - Courtney Wiethorn. This scholarship is to honor Arminda's memory!
Arminda Bewley worked at Vanguard from 1977-2011 and was devoted to students and families. Her patience, character, patriotism and dedication impacted so many!

Join us Friday, October 12th for the Vanguard Homecoming game, where the alumni of the Class of '97, '98, and '99 will be honored during a
first quarter ceremony.
Alumni and Alumni Parents
- Join us Saturday at 11am on the Vanguard College Preparatory campus for a tour of the school, lunch, and activities for children/grandchildren in the Swanson Athletic Building.
A number of Vanguard's faculty and former faculty will be joining us for the lunch and tours.
