In Collaboration with the Shepard Broad College of Law, H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography, and the College of Engineering and Computing, the Sharon and Mitchell W. Berger Entrepreneur Law Clinic will offer the first annual Entrepreneur Boot Camp. The program is designed to immerse entrepreneurs in the skills and disciplines needed to successfully launch a start-up business, with particular focus on those companies built on research, design, or innovation.
Over 400 alumni, NSU students, faculty and staff have preregistered for the Entrepreneur Boot Camp to be held on the Davie Campus of NSU.
Registration is open. Participants may attend for free or support the event with a VIP ticket that includes the VIP reception ($50). This training will also be streamed live to those that register.

A vibrant group of attorneys and friends attended the Florida Supercon’s first panel program exclusively for lawyers. The presentations focused on a wide range of legal issues involved in creating, licensing, and managing the creative works involved in comic books, video games, films, and merchandise.

2018 International Faculty Training Conference: Engaging, Advising & Assessing the Next Generation of Law Students

Over 150 legal educators from across the globe attend online and in person for the Third Annual International Faculty Training Conference. This year’s program focused on how educators can better understand their student body to effectively educate this generation of students and anticipate the one that follows. Legal educators from around the world came together to expand their knowledge of teaching law students, as well as to share their experiences.

The NSU Trial Association will host its fourth annual Trial Advocacy Summer Institute (TASI) August 7 - 11, 2018 at NSU Law. TASI is a five-day course taught by NSU Law faculty and members of our litigation community. Students practice oral advocacy, trial skills, opening statements and closing arguments, direct and cross examination, and evidence law in a trial setting. The practice of law is a lifetime commitment to learning which requires ongoing training to improve legal skills and knowledge. Our commitment to our alumni includes providing training and resources to support them beyond the classroom.
Law Connect Plus, formerly Law Center Plus, continues to provide ongoing skills training and other resources for our alumni, especially our newest members. A series of ten seminars each year will include practice skills that will build confidence among new attorneys and educate all our alumni seeking to improve their knowledge and techniques in a variety of areas. These seminars continue to be free to alumni in their first two years after graduation. All other alumni and friends may attend for a registration fee. All attendees will receive a continental breakfast and CLE credits. Join us so you can build the successful career you envisioned when you first came to NSU Law. On Campus Interview (OCI) Fall 2018
NSU Law students are invited to participate in our Fall 2018 On-Campus Interview Program (OCI) Session 1, held from August 27 – September 14, 2018. OCI allows students to apply to government, public interest and law firm employers for summer associate, law clerk and permanent employment.
Employers may also choose to participate in our Resume Collection Program. This program allows employers to receive resumes and application materials from students. The employers then have the opportunity to contact interested students directly to schedule interviews.
Bidding for the program began in Symplicity on July 12. To prepare, students should review the employer list and schedule an appointment with a career advisor to have their resume reviewed and to discuss their bid list.
